While looking for a famous WW II poster (the British "Very well then, alone") to make a point on a thread, I found a motherlode of WW II posters of all types, and I was struck by how many of them would be appropriate for the upcoming war(s) against terrorism (including Iraq). Other than possibly modernizing a few dates or costumes on the posters, they'd still be perfectly applicable today.

The Fox News Channel has just announced that *both* flight recorders have been recovered from the Pentagon crash site and are already en route to the lab for analysis. Experts say that even if the terrorists turned off the recorder after they gained control, the voice recorder would still retain the record of the cockpit struggle/takeover. (While the flight recorders can be turned off from the cockpit, they can't be erased.)

Fox TV (not Fox News channel) just ran a "teaser" saying that Bush (Senior) would speak out tonight on the INS raid that grabbed Elian Gonzales. On the teaser that aired here in Houston, it showed Bush seated, talking, with Barbara Bush at his side. There was an announcer's voiceover, and viewers could not hear what Bush was saying. I don't know if this is going to air only on Houston's Fox evening news (Bush lives here in Houston) or whether it's going to go out nationally.

In the last few days, Clinton, Gore, the New York Time, Jim Moore, and a host of others have squealed like stuck pigs when Wayne laPierre said that in his opinion, Clinton is "willing to accept a certain level of killing to further his political agenda -- and the vice president too, I mean, how else can you explain this dishonesty we get out of the administration" regarding their failure to fully enforce existing laws.
