BOTH flight recorders recovered from Pentagon crash site
Fox News | 9/14/2001 | Self

The Fox News Channel has just announced that *both* flight recorders have been recovered from the Pentagon crash site and are already en route to the lab for analysis.

Experts say that even if the terrorists turned off the recorder after they gained control, the voice recorder would still retain the record of the cockpit struggle/takeover. (While the flight recorders can be turned off from the cockpit, they can't be erased.)

Great news! I hope the terrorists were so excited about their "victory" that they named lots of names!

ABC just reported that the data recorder is useable. The VOICE recorder is NOT usable. Apparently the tape was damaged by the heat from the fires.

Damn!
