say it ain't so. terry mac has been so good for the gop as dnc chair. i hope he stays in that seat for life. remember these teery mac predictions:

1. "jeb is gone"! hmmm. sorry terry he seems to have been re-elected by a wide margin.

2. "the dems will regain both the senate and the house in the 2002 midterm elections." not quite, but the gop did manage to regain the senate and pickup seats in the house. that is i believe a historical first.

3. "john kerry is going to win the popular vote and get 330 electoral votes." really, somehow he came up just short.

why should anyone be surprised edwards was almost a no-show. he has one of the worst attendence records in the senate. i still am at loss as to why he was even selected to run on the ticket. he is not bringing north carolina into the kerry camp or any other southern state for that matter. gephardt may not have been a sexy choice, but he probably could have at least delivered his home state and helped out in the farm belt for the dems. oh well, after he loses the election maybe kerry can explain his decision, hopefully in less than 10,000.00 words.

someone should remind senator kerry that mounting a comeback in an election in the peoples republic of mass. is not the same as mounting a comeback in a national election. the national voting population trends a bit more to the center than the folks in the bay state. plus, unfortunately for the windsurfing senator, george bush is not william weld.
