Nato today announced it was ending its bombing campaign which helped Libyan rebels overthrow Muammar Gaddafi's regime. Officials said all operations for the air and sea campaign will conclude at midnight on Monday, as the strikes were described as 'one of the most successful' operations in the history of the 62-year-old alliance. Nato stopped its bombing missions soon after Gaddafi's death earlier this month, but has maintained regular air patrols. LAS VEGAS -- NBC5 has learned that Las Vegas police are questioning O.J. Simpson Friday morning in connection with a burlgary. The Las Vegas NBC affiliate confirmed that Simpson is accused of breaking into a room at the Palace Station Casino sometime Thursday. Police confirmed that they are questioning Simpson and several other people. No other details were available early Friday. A statement is expected to be issued by police later Friday. Simpson's book, "If I Did It," hits store shelves Friday amid much controversy.

June 30, 2006 - A former Valley school administrator will likely be going to prison. Friday afternoon, a Fresno jury came back with a verdict in the trial of the administrators of a now defunct local charter school. They were accused of misusing taxpayer money. An Action News investigation revealed the Gateway Charter School operated with little oversight, sparking a probe by the State Department of Justice. Fresno County Superior Court Judge R.L. Putnam on Monday issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Khadijah Ghafur, superintendent and president of the now-closed GateWay Academy charter school system, after she failed to show up for her ongoing trial, where she is accused of stealing public funds. Three officials from the closed GateWay Academy charter school system were arrested in connection with a state Department of Justice investigation into misuse of public funds and embezzlement. <p>The man accused of killing Fresno County sheriff's deputy Erik Telen last year was found competent to stand trial by a second court-appointed psychologist, prompting his attorneys to ask that a jury decide the matter. Two previous court-appointed psychologists were split on whether 20-year-old Ramadan Abdur-Rauf Abdullah is competent to assist in his defense, prompting evaluation by the third. Two psychiatrists hired by the defense found him incompetent.</p>
