Yup! I retired in 1993 and I wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the present climate before they show my politickly uncorreck ass out the door!

So you can get a tax deduction for an abortion but the IRS does not yet have the forms for deducting state sales tax on your 1040...as I found out the other day when I was doing my tax penance on TurboTax. The program said the IRS has not yet decided policy about that item so the forms are not yet available. Doesn’t stop them from coming after you if you are a minute late filing taxes though, does it?

So now I suppose that if I want to make that admittedly small adjustment to my federal taxes I will have to file an amendment...if the forms ever become available. Needless to say, I’m not holding my breath!

The A-10 is a wonderful piece of machinery and it is as durable as a hammer. T’would be a BIG mistake to get rid of such a beast! The latest and greatest stealth fighters packed with advanced electronic wonders will never, ever replace the rugged airplane flying low and slow carrying a big load of air-to-ground weaponry to support the infantry!

Heh! She played the system like a fiddle! Tell me you wouldn’t do the same with a straight face if you were in the same position. Anyone feeling especially virtuous now?

Therein is the problem...the system was badly broken and allowed this abuse of taxpayer funds. Multiply that exponentially and you have only a small sampling of our present condition.

The essentials of the gospel are simple and need no extended theological arguments...

1. Hear the Word
2. Believe the Word
3. Repent your sins
4. Confess that Christ is the Son of God
5. Be baptized for the remission of your sins

The New Testament lays this process out it in an easy to understand format. No need for endless debate. The story is there. If you don’t believe it then you reject it. End of argument!

Heh! I would seriously buy one of those licenses if Deer Trail would produce them just for the novelty of the thing! In fact, I looked up their town web site and sent an email to them suggesting they could probably make money hand over fist if they came up with such a thing whether it is real or not. Now wouldn’t that be a hoot? :)

The time for action by all God fearing men is here. Obey the government or obey God’s commandments. It’s your choice of peril for disobedience. As for me and my house, we will obey God.

He’s looking out for himself. Integrity is low on his list of priorities. Typical politician behavior...

Buy a Tracfone from Walmart. I’ve used one for years and have had little trouble from unwanted calls. No contract required and you can buy as many minutes as you think you will need. Serves my minimal communication needs just fine.

I will not. We left Illinois and moved to Kentucky. Here in the Commonwealth we can legally carry the instruments to defend ourselves.

I lived in Illinois for far longer than I wanted to. The state said I needed to have a Firearms Owner ID. I got the card. The state said I couldn’t carry a gun to protect myself...I broke company with the state on that point. My life and the lives of my family were far more important than adherence to a state decree...which was not in accord with higher authority. It made me a criminal in the eyes of the state...so what?

Heh! Serving 20+ years in the military is a far, far different episode than serving 20+ years as a civilian gubmint employee! I suggest you are talking out your butt!
