People who fire guns at drones are endangering the public and property and could be prosecuted or fined, the Federal Aviation Administration warned Friday.
The FAA released a statement in response to questions about an ordinance under consideration in the tiny farming community of Deer Trail, Colo., that would encourage hunters to shoot down drowns. The administration reminded the public that it regulates the nation's airspace, including the airspace over cities and towns.

Perhaps they shouldn’t be flying the drones, spying on citizens.
And the constitutional basis for the existence of the FAA is the alleged regulation of interstate commerce?
So if a drone from my neighbor, city police, county sheriff or state police happens to be shot down by a resident of that particular state, from whence comes the regulation by the FAA?
Remember the 3 S’s
Shoot, Shovel, Shut-up
I am sure that PETA, Sierra club.... will all have their fleets of drones to spy on their enemies, the people.
We need to know what to do if a drone crashes into property and destroys it. What federal agency do we call to get reimbursed for the damages?
They, the ruling class, are sure sensitive about us defending ourselves.
Maybe that’s why they’re called the ruling class.
Isn’t this the organization that ‘concluded’ that TWA800 was caused by a center fuel tank explosion despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary?
The head of the FAA and the top-ranking FAA officials have just become traitors to United States of America.
That was the NTSB. My mistake.
After FLT 800, I”m not convinced the FAA cares about anything except the political future of the FAA. This is just more bureaucratic BS. I’m not supporting the activity of shooting at drones;just saying.
Hope they dont have any drones flying over West Monroe, LA. Uncle Si, may just accidentially shoot down one of them instead of a duck.
In this case, I'd go with Shoot, Slag, and Shut-up.
If they make it legal, they could get revenue from selling licenses and drone stamps. How could they miss this opportunity? Don’t make people stop shooting drones, tax the activity. Its the Obama Way.
Plant trees and bushes, cut grass, and make big signs facing up all in the shape of the middle finger.
And never grounded a single 747 with an Air Worthiness Directive requiring the repair of such a dangerous design flaw.
If you read Rodney Stitch’s stuff you’ll understand what’s going on.

Extremely disturbing to say the least.
747s flew throughout the Middle-East. We’re talking temperatures well in excess of 100 degrees, almost assuredly in excess of 120 degrees at times.
These aircraft operated under normal conditions. They had to sit at gates and on runways experiencing delays.
None of them spontaneously combusted. None of them exploded.
And yet one evening shortly after taking off from New York, one did explode.
And of course, it was the Middle-Fuel tank, designed to exist too close to an air conditioning unit. This an air conditioning unit that existed on all other 747s.
If you had even a smidgeon of intelligence, you knew this investigation was a total farce beginning to end.
I’m pretty certain that your average liberal and liberaltarian doesn’t know the difference between a drone and a 777. Logic, not emotion will tell you that this is just an emotional temper tantrum to suggest that anyone can shoot down a drone.
That would make a great episode!
