On April 19, 2003 we motorcylist helped the USO raise money. Over 200 bikers showed up for the Patriotic Ride in Chicago, IL. News Channel 5 in Chicago covered our event that day. Cherokee

Support The Troops Ride Rescheduled for: April 19th,2003! More info and updated flyer soon to follow! As of today March 30, 2003 we are planning to ride rain or shine. Also, we will be doing a $5.00 voluntary donation, which will be sent to the USO to purchase convenience packages, which will be sent to our troops in Iraq. One more item and this is Important and needs to be stressed: THIS IS “NOT” AN ABATE EVENT! Just for the record it was organized by several individuals, some of who were ABATE members and military veterans such as myself. I am sure that many abate members, Chicago Hog and other Motorcycle Organizations will be participating along side of us. We encourage anyone who rides “NO” matter what Organization they are with to come and join us this " WILL" be a "PEACEFUL, UNITED” ride to show our troops and their loved one’s they have our support! Police escorts will be provided to us. Keep checking to re-confirm this ride!

Fly your flag high if you can't make it! Meeting at Hansen Park 9:00 am corner of Grand & Central(across from police station)THIS WILL BE A SHORT RIDE! It won't take up your whole day, We are just going down Grand or Fullerton to downtown and back and hope to see a little media coverage along the way. Pass the word! Anti-war protestors intend to gather there today. We need to show as well on our cycles, in our trucks, cars and display our support for our american, british troops and their families. We need to get the word out even louder then yesterday that we support our troops and their loved ones. Motorcyclists from Chicagoland Toys For Tots and other Motorcycle groups joined together today in support of our american and british troops. Our engines roared like crazy to get the word out we support and love our troops full heartedly! Some bikers were spit at and flipped off by the opposite protestors but that didn't stop the bikers from letting their engines roar. The bikers send out their deepest sorrows to those we and the british have lost in this war. We will continue to ride and spread the word 'Support Our Troops and Their Loved Ones'.
