Milwaukee City Hall was packed on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:00 pm as the Fire and Police Commission voted unanimously to approve a non-collaboration policy between Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Milwaukee Police Department. CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has said that glyphosate, the key ingredient in Monsanto Co’s top-selling weed killer Roundup, is not likely to be carcinogenic to humans, contradicting a World Health Organization panel. CONROE, Texas (CBS NEWS)-- A Houston man convicted of drunken driving nine times since 1980 has been sentenced to life in prison. The Montgomery County judge who sentenced Donald Middleton on Tuesday said the 56-year-old man is a habitual offender. Middleton pleaded guilty last week to driving drunk in a May 2015 traffic accident. Investigators say Middleton was arrested after he fled on foot after the wreck, ran to a store and begged the clerks not to turn him in. Prosecutors say Middleton has already served four prison terms for alcohol-related convictions.

MADISON -- A Madison man has won the right to wear a spaghetti strainer on his head in his driver's license photo. The Department of Transportation has instructed all DMV offices to recognize colanders as religious headwear after receiving a letter from the man's lawyer. Two hundred twenty people died in Milwaukee County in 2014 from heroin and other opiates, 10 times the number from a decade earlier for the entire state. Those inclined to do so, please pray for my FIL Carl. He had an episode described to me as a "Brain Bleed" and is in the hospital nearly unresponsive as I write this. The Neurosurgeon has stated if had cranial surgery been performed he would still likely be paralyzed on one side, and wouldn't be able to walk or communicate. The family has opted to forego the surgery, concerned his quality of life would not be acceptable to him and against his wishes. In light of these horrific and tragic attacks, our first priority must be to protect our citizens.  Along with governors across the country, I have deep concerns about the Obama Administration's plan to accept 10,000 or more Syrian refugees, especially given that one of the Paris attackers was reportedly a Syrian refugee. Gov. Scott Walker said Wednesday the United States should not take in additional Syrian war refugees who are fleeing to Europe, adopting a firm stance on the issue two days after declining to answer what he called a hypothetical question. "No, we shouldn't be taking on any more Syrian refugees right now," the Republican presidential hopeful told reporters in Eau Claire, according to Wisconsin Public Radio. "In the last year ,America has received almost 70,000 refugees of which nearly 2,000 are from Syria.
