The only way to lose in Iraq is for the US to pull out. NBC has now decided to call Iraq is in a state of civil war. Reuters admits (boasts?) the policy "would increase public disillusionment with the U.S. troop presence there." Here we have a member of the media admitting their actions is helping lose the war. The US media is perhaps the most potent enemy in the Iraq war. It is either naive or irresponsible for the war's supporters, both in and out of the administration, not to take the fight to the media.

Here is how to put a lot of pressure on the media to do the right thing. Bush will be vindicated in the end and we will soon find out who the honest, responsible liberals are. They will be the ones who told Gore to concede before the Supreme Court does. If we send signals that we will hold them accountable for how they behave here, they will feel a lot of pressure to tell Gore it is time to go.
