Funny no one ever polls me, but then I’m unlikely to answer a number I don’t recognize. I’m thinking most right thinkers wouldn’t answer either so polls will always lean to left thinkers.
After all any “Republican” nominee would never do anything in secret against our Constitution. /sarc
How may “Republicans” in the Senate recently voted against indefinitely holding American citizens by the military? I think that number was a whopping FIVE!
If our Constitution was meant to control government, then government outside of the constitutional controls is an out of control government.
Well I guess if peaceably sitting on the side walk and not getting up when “asked nicely” is such an grievous violation of the laws of the land then I’m sure there are some here who would have had the folks polluting the Boston Harbor with a potentially foreign species of tea should have been subject to a firing squad and though the 56 treasonous traitors (a.k.a. Signers of the Declaration of Independence) who violated the law should have been drawn and quartered.
These protestors are exactly what our founders fought and died for.
Speaking from my personal experience and as a former Deputy Sheriff, the police officers should have sworn and oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the US when sworn in. Sadly most of them worry about case law and how far they can push it instead of performing their oath.
“when the Tea Party protests start up again, or we get a decision on ObamaCare at the USSC we dont like and protest it at the capital or other places - we will be treated exactly like this - count on it.”
On April 15, 2009 I was among other like minded people when we took over the City Hall parking lot in our town and held our first Tea Party event. We were far noisier that these guys sitting on a sidewalk.
Just because I don’t agree with someone doesn’t give me the right to think they should be treated differently. Our police should treat us all the same and I don’t want that treatment for me at the next Tea Party protest.
