Fortunately, we have Keith Olbermann to point out that Rush Limbaugh did not accurately quote the preamble to the Constitution in his CPAC speech last weekend. I'm not sure what scam Olbermann imagined Rush was trying to put over on the American people by saying conservatives believed in the "preamble to the Constitution" and then quoting words from the Declaration of Independence -- but Olbermann put an end to that cruel deception!

Fayetteville, N.C. — The American Civil Liberties Union wants Cumberland County authorities to curb their use of stun guns in schools after the weapons were used twice on students in the last week.

Hey guys. Just wanted to let everyone know. Watching FOX just now and learned that Judd Gregg is withdrawing his nomination for Commerce Sec. His reasons, if I'm correct, is that he's not supporting the Porkulus Plan and that he hasn't been guaranteed that a Republican or an Independent would get his spot in the Senate. Also, he had some very understandable concerns about the One's grab of the Census. GOOD FOR HIM!! Looks like another embarrassment for Barry and maybe some hope for us. Cheers.

Apparently, to almost every member of the media, the election of a thoroughly unaccomplished man to the presidency is a definition of the American dream for the sole reason that he is half black. Even President Bush has said that Barack Obama’s election is a “triumph of the American story.” The unfortunate truth, however, is that Obama’s election is a tremendous devaluation of the American Dream. It teaches us that the recipe for success is not achievement, but cunning. Yet somehow, everyone has fallen victim to the conventional wisdom that “we now know we can do anything.” Sherri Shepherd, a...
  • "Bobby"! Not just for the Kennedy's any more!

Just thought I'd post this interview Bobby Jindal had on "Late Night". It may have been posted before, but I think folks need to get to know this guy. So far, I'm very impressed with this guy. Left-wing policies aside, this "Bobby" does seem to have the same appeal and charisma as the late Robert Kennedy. What do my fellow Freepers think?

Although I have not always been the most outspoken advocate of President-Elect Barack Obama, today I would like to congratulate him and add my voice to the millions of fellow citizens who are celebrating his historic and frightening election victory. I don't care whether you are a conservative or a liberal -- when you saw this inspiring young African-American rise to our nation's highest office I hope you felt the same sense of patriotic pride that I experienced, no matter how hard you were hyperventilating with deep existential dread. Yes, I know there are probably other African-Americans much better qualified...

I was watching Hannity & Colmes when Alan (aka: Skeletor) began soft-balling an O-surrogate. Thank goodness for "Dirty Jobs" on Discovery. While I was watching Mike Rowe, I wondered if he leaned RIGHT or left. I had already assumed that he was conservative just from the down-to-earth way he interacts with folks on the show. Also, he's obviously not afraid of a hard days work. So, I hit GOOGLE and found a nifty article at the Discovery Channel website. He may not be a "A-lister" like Clooney or Oprah, but I'll drink a beer with Mike Rowe any day!
  • "Conservative Misinformation" HA!

WASHINGTON — They are some of the more memorable slip-ups or slights within the news media’s coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign. A Fox News anchor asks whether Senator Barack Obama and his wife had greeted each other with a “terrorist fist jab.” Rush Limbaugh calls military personnel critical of the war in Iraq “phony soldiers.” Mr. Limbaugh and another Fox host repeat an accusation that Mr. Obama attended a madrassa, or Islamic school, in Indonesia. Each of these moments might have slipped into the broadcast ether but for the efforts of Media Matters for America...

McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.
