  • Yes, The Iraq War and the 911 Attacks ARE Related

History-like hindsight-is supposed to be 20:20, but the deliberate partisan, political divide regarding the invasion of Iraq makes that hard. It’s not a new phenomenon. Conspiracy theories-often fueled by politics-still rage over the 911 attacks and the invasion of Iraq. To that end, even if one believes the relationship between Iraq War and 911 attacks is a conspiracy theory, it’s worthwhile to examine if for no other reason than harvesting a better understanding.

I took a clip from the movie Gettysburg that explains how the American soldier is a freedom fighter, and American armies are armies out to set others free, and the leftnuts are going...well, nuts. Please check out the movie AND RATE IT. Comments are appreciated as well.

Throughout 2006, the Democratic Party promised that it would provide a "New Direction In Iraq." They said they wouldn't cut the funding for the war. They demanded more troops, and they led voters to believe the plan was a plan for success via a new direction. They strongly denied it was a plan to abandon Iraq, but on election night, DNC Chairman Dean revealed to Chris Matthews that there never was a plan. They hadn't even formed a committee to brainstorm it. Since then, they've opposed sending more troops, opposed new plans for success such as The Surge, and they've...

There was a time when Americans didn't accept surrender, defeat, and didn't run from struggles for freedom. During that time, our flag wasn't pulled down and removed. It stayed through the fight, and continued to wave over a land of free people... brave people.
  • Sen. Carl Levin (D), Misquotes His Own Report, Or Does He Mislead from It?

It’s a sad fact of modern American life that no one reads the results of the investigations that are so often demanded in Washington DC. Sen. Levin has been a member on the Senate Intelligence Committee for a long, long time. Yet, he apparently isn’t even reading the reports that the Committee’s staffers work so hard to write. This is evidenced in the Michigan senator’s recent article in the Los Angeles Times, “Tell us another one, Mr. Vice President, Dick Cheney is still trying to link Iraq with Al Qaeda and 9/11” By Carl Levin, April 12, 2007. In this...
  • 1,2,3,4 What In The World Are They Protesting For?

Operation Iraqi Freedom is now 4 years old. Back around this time in 2003, the largest gathering of anti-war protesters in history convened around the world to put pressure on the United States not to remove a dictator from power. They didn’t march to put pressure on the dictator to give in to the will of the world at the United Nations. They protested the liberators not the oppressor. Protesting against dictators, terrorists, and thugs just seems to lack the same festival atmosphere. It’s so much more interesting, easy, (and a lot safer!) to protest against someone like President Bush....

At 0753 at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the attack that had triggered America's entry into World War II, sixty-seven years before, was ceremoniously commemorated, an honor guard, taps, a 21-gun salute, the bugle's notes and the rifles' crack drifting across the bay to the USS Arizona memorial, where Admiral Arthur Peterson, USN Ret., laid a wreath in memory of the sailors sleeping below, one of whom was his own grandfather. On the West coast it was 1053, and in Washington D.C. it was one fifty-three in the afternoon, 1353 military time. In 2006 America, tired of War in Iraq, had...

The 1990-2006 War in Iraq might soon be over. The head of the British Army is calling for the removal of his nation’s troops. Other members of the Coalition of the Willing are preparing to leave this year as well. The Iraq Studies Group headed by former Secretary of State Baker is putting together a report to be released in December, and it will either suggest pulling American forces out of the fight and positioning them along the border of Iraq or pulling out all together. Even the Iraqi government is working to divide the nation politically along ethnic lines...

We’ve all waited 4 years to see a good report on what happened to Saddam’s WMD and September 8, 2006 the last investigative report was released by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. The only problem is…I searched the entire 400 pages of this “Phase II report” (or rather both reports that make up the Phase II report) and I couldn’t find those two words: “Bush lied.” I can’t even find, “Bush mislead” in those 400 pages. What I did find was 400 pages of evidence showing that the intelligence community used small amounts of weak intelligence from a decrepit...

the Phase II report says: “The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), which is leading the exploitation effort of documents (DocEx) uncovered in Iraq, told Committee staff that 120 million plus pages of documents that were recovered in Iraq have received an initial review for intelligence information. As of January 2006, 34 million pages have been translated and summarized to some extent and are available to analysts in an Intelligence Community database.” pg 62/400 And while that might mislead people into thinking that the assessments made are full and complete, it isn’t until later in the report that a little caveat is...

Many of the quasi-conclusions are based largely on claims of innocence from Saddam Hussein, “a top official in Saddam’s government, Abid Hamid Mahmoud al-Kattab al-Tikriti,” Tariq Aziz and Faruq Hijazi. These are 4/7 of the primary players in any involvement or potential involvement between Saddam’s regime and al Qaeda. The other 3 primary players are Mohammed al-Douri (He is Saddam’s VP/muscle man/Thug-In-Charge who remains at large. He is also suspected of being the primary source for most of a large portion of the insurgency and most reports place him as directing operations from inside Syria). The last 2 primary players...

As soldiers and Marines by the hundreds of thousands return home from Iraq they are telling their stories. They are telling family and friends of what they saw and of who they fought. They are writing books that tell of their experiences. Amazon.com is full of them. They have fought and lived through a dramatic and on-going historical event. To them it is real-not politics and so they tell the truth. They describe an invasion and an occupation where Islamic extremists and Iraqi thugs are the enemy. They tell tales of a fight against terrorists; people who rammed cars filled...

How many times have we heard members of the media say, “We know now that there were no ties between Saddam and Al Qaeda”? Typically, people make this claim based on any combination of four sources: President Bush’s 9/17/03 statement, Sec. Powell’s 1/8/04 statement, the 9/11 Commission’s Final Report of 7/22/04 or the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s (SSCI) report on Pre-war Iraq intelligence reports: 7/7/04. Yet, in each of these cases, the very quotations that opponents of the war in Iraq point towards as definitive claims of “no ties” are only half quotes. When they refer to President Bush’s...

This is my line in the sand. This is where I have decided that I will no longer allow lies about the war in Iraq, the global war on terror, or the decay of America's intelligence services. I will make my stand here, now, on this issue. No more will their lies go unchecked. The Senate Phase II report has been marketed as some sort of evidence that Al Queda and Iraq are not related. They are. I examined the report, stomached it's political lies (lies it admits to having within its own text!), and I have taken my action....

911 Happened on Bush’s Watch As we approach the fifth anniversary of the 911 attacks, it’s time to face some facts. 911 DID happen on President Bush’s watch. He was in charge. The fault for letting the attacks happen rests with the top of the pyramid. The man deserved to be held accountable. Some would have preferred impeachment since it would have offered a partisan chance to avenge the impeachment of President Clinton 8years ago (still perceived by many as having been unwarranted). Lacking impeachment, there should have at least been a national referendum on the Presidency of George W...

The Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) is a more centrist element of today’s Democratic Party. After Sen. Lieberman’s primary defeat last week, I decided to go to the DLC website and see how the centrist Democrats were reacting to their defeat as well as the victory of the far left. There wasn’t a canned response at that time. I had hoped that the DLC would have prepared both win and lose positions in advance, but apparently the party just can’t figure out how to pander to their base of pacifists, appeasers, geo-political procrastinators, Bush-haters, socialists etc. while at the same time...

Wouldn't it be WONDERFUL to see the USS Cole off the coast of Beruit providing protection for 25000 fleeing Americans? I think that'd send a knife-like message to UBL, and those who got so much pr from attacking it. It's in the area, and just did a port call in Greece a week or so ago. I think in the War on Terror it'd be a great reminder of the USS Cole incident and as the world media reported its presence. Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, MSNBC, CBS, NYT....they'd all be compelled to report its signifigance, the attack done on it,...

"Using simple history as a guide we can determine that the plan proposed by opponents of the war in Iraq (a plan to shift to a Beyond-the-Horizon force) has a history of failure, and is not the determining/resolving factor in modern war." This is a must read article. It's subject will shape the world, politics in 06, 07, 08 and beyond, and American culture. It's figuratively and literally...a bomb about to drop. http://www.therant.us/guest/pender/07082006.htm

Imagine the 2008 November election preceeded by a 200,000 man victory march down Pennsylvania Ave-enabled by an Iraq that is strong enough, experienced enough, and dedicated enough to fight its own fight. Preceeded by the death of Bin Laden sometime over the next 2 1/2 yrs....How does a dem get a snowball's chance in Frisco weeks later? The left that's betting and quasi hoping/aiding on a defeat-begging for it (and calling for it today in fact!) has ignored the most likely scenarios. Most likely? Every objective in Iraq-every milestone has been reached by the US military, and so there's no...
