A stockman has recently killed 27 coyotes and hung them on fenceposts along the hiway. The County Payment Bill was passed by Congress and signed into law by Clinton last Fall. This law was passed to aliviate financial problems faced by counties due to the loss of tax revenues associated with logging within Natl Forests which has been essentially eliminated. New scientific evidence shows that sunlight, snow, and sea salt combine as a potent mixture to destroy ozone. Published in the Jan 19 issue of Science magazine, the study describes the role that bromine and chlorine play each spring when the rising sun interacts with snow. Though the study indicates that ozone depletion is a naturally occurring process, the findings suggest that mixtures of salt and snow on urban strret "may also" affect air quality.
