Same here. I thought it was selfish and pure weakness. But as I’ve grown older and seen people around me struggle, fall into depair, have no loved ones left in their lives, I get it. It’s not so simple. It’s not quite what I thought it was.
That was a bit more than a simple flip, but kind of excessive on the suspension. It went about 10 ft up in the air and came down by his side. Not great, but not terrible.
I’ve lived in my current home for 16 years, and am on my 3rd homeowners insurance policy. Not one of them expressly asked about weapon ownership on the base policy. If you want to increase your personal item propery loss (what’s inside your home that isn’t the structure itself) then you start decaring items of value at at that point you can list firearms.
TLDR: Firearm ownership isn’t asked, isn’t a part of the premium. You can declare for increased coverage at an increased premium. That is of your own free will.
Having traveled through Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and been on ferries, tour boats - they are usually grossly overloaded with both paasengers and/or cargo. I was on a ferry going beteern islands in Indonesia that was standing room only. It was at least 200% capacity. The seas were rough and a goat puking next next to me. No one batted an eye.
The town I grew up in had a grocery store co-op some ex-hippies set up around 1975. You paid a yearly fee ($20 or so) and got a 5% discount on everything. It was some bulk goods, organic (before that was popular) and niche stuff, but good prices overall.
50 years later it’s still there, same membership concept but transformed into more of a Whole Foods Yuppy market.
“... $101 million in funding Tuesday for “multifamily low-income housing development””
This is going to be probably the most expensive “low income howing” in the entire nation, seeing it is some of the most expensive real estate in the entire nation. It simply makes no sense.
