Nino Burjanadze, former parliamentary chairperson and now the president of the Foundation for Democracy and Development (FDD), has prepared 43 questions to the authorities regarding the August events.
The authorities claim that they have answers to all the questions; so, we expect their public answers within the nearest days, Burjanadze said at a press conference on October 1.
Earlier on September 12 Burjanadze said that her position on the matter would largely depend on the answers she received from the authorities.
Burjanadze wonders why the Georgian authorities could not predict that Russia was preparing a wide-scale military intervention and why the Georgian authorities could not avert direct military confrontation, despite numerous and direct warnings of Georgias friends not to yield to Russias provocations.

I can’t imagine intercepting Ossetian communications would be all that difficult! Sounds like a CYA. If they had this intercept on the morning of the 7th, why did’t they scream that info to the world?
I was watching that segment and couldn't believe it. He first compared Palins budget as a mayor and the number of people that worked for her. He then cited his campaign budget and the number of people working for him, like he calls all the shots and NOT his campaign manager.
Bingo! My thoughts exactly!
If I were the repoter, I would have asked Barry, "Based on that criteria, shouldn't your campaign manager be running for President?" Then watch him stammer and stumble.
