My friend and I are at odds over political issues. He posed the following question to me. I would greatly appreciate the responses of Freepers around the world. In addition to national security issues, my friend is interested economic and business issues.

9-11 was a historic turning point. My friend Bob had it right. He called me on my cell phone that morning to tell me of the attack. "Our world has changed forever", of course he was right. I am often frustrated to the point of dispair as I observe the racial dialogue in our Nation. My ultimate conclusion is that those who would either claim victim status, as the recpients of racial injustice, or those who would proclaim to be their advocates, are primarily concerned with using the racial issue as leverage to gain and hold power over the perceived victimizers. Emboldened after a large "Pro Constitution/Bush" Rally in Tampa yesterday, I decided to "Freep" a scheduled Gore rally here today. I arrived 15 minutes early, saw 1/2 dozen people milling around, as well as a local Fox News van. I approached the van and asked if they were here for the gore rally. I just returned from participating in an incredible spontaneous street rally here in Tampa. The rally was suggested by local 970 AM radio talk host Glenn Beck. The theme was nonpartisan support of the constitution. The rally was held on a very busy major road in Tampa, in front of the radio station. Several hundred people turned out between 4:00 and 5:00 and stayed until 7:00. They had various signs, banners and flags supporting Bush and the Constitution.
