I went to a high school with a rigid honor code. Three things were not tolerated: lying, cheating and stealing. Plagiarism constitutes all three. In some circumstances a student could earn a second chance, but that involved serious penalties and required contrition. This Harvard president has shown no remorse, has not admitted any real culpability and is being given the same free ride I am sure she has received throughout her academic and professional career.
I am praying for You, Jim. I am honored to have seen you and heard you speak at the March for Justice and I am so grateful for all you have done for our country.

I have a FreeRepublic.com polo shirt. White with red and black trim on the sleeves and collar and FreeRepublic.com embroidered in red where the logo usually goes on the chest. The brand of the shirt is Port Authority On Tour. My parents gave it to me on the Christmas after the March for Justice. (My late father and I went to D.C. together that day). I don’t know where they got the shirt but it is one of my most prized possessions. I also have some anti-Clinton buttons I bought at the March for Justice that day. They say, “Clinton. Sodomy. Pervert” on them. They aren’t FreeRepublic merchandise, though.

I was a teenager when my Dad shared a bottle of Anchor Steam with me that he brought back to the East Coast from a business trip to San Francisco. It was delicious and definitely helped my acquire a taste for beer. The stuff that was later exported to the East Coast was very good but never tasted quite the same (maybe not as fresh) and I would buy it occasionally. I also enjoyed Anchor’s Christmas Ales. They slightly varied the recipe each year.
I am drinking a Yuengling Flight right now!!! My beer-rigerator is stocked with their Flight, lager and light beer. I used to drink Yuengling lager regularly. In recent years I jumped on the IPA bandwagon but it has been an expensive indulgence not to mention an alcohol and carbohydrate bomb. The Bud Light fiasco inspired me to buy some Yuengling and now I am hooked and have rediscovered the joy of mellowing out with a smooth, light beer (plus an occasional IPA).
