The husband of a woman who told police she was raped tracked down the suspect in Hermosa Beach and shot him early Thursday, stating, “This is for my wife,” detectives said. The husband later was taken into custody at his Redondo Beach residence while the rape suspect, Ali Sina Sharareh, 22, of Pleasant Hill underwent emergency surgery at County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and was reported in fair condition.
