Just show me the young ladies with a tattoo because I know that's someone willing to do something today that they will regret tomorrow.

Geez, get a sense of humor. Typically only people with a good, healthy marriage including repsect for each other can kid around like that.

Oh brother, socialist Europes wisdom of trying to impose egalitarianism to the economics of insurance will raise womens insurance rates substantially. Are actuary tables to be declared illegal? How stupid. And the vote wasn't even close.

There are lots of civilians in all types of capacities over there right now. Missionaries only a very small part. Missionries know the possibilities going in but know it's worth the risk. In fact Christians are being persecuted in Muslin countries all over the world. We know of 10 locals in Sudan that were killed because they became Christians. BUT, they need the Good News brought to them regardless. They're just following the great commission: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel."

I guess I should pose a question to you. Was Jesus Christ wrong to have preached the good news and to be a sacrifice. After all it was devisive, soldiers had to quell violence, people got killed.

"I don't think Christian missionaries should be there now. They can only add to the overall chaos and problems."

    What an absurd statement.

We certainly shouldn't have missionaries teach "love God, and love your neighbor as yourself" (the first and second greatest commands per Jesus Christ). That would surely cause chaos in the Middle East and Iraq. Given that there is plenty of chaos and problems there now do you think this novel approach just might help? Or is "love you neighbor" too radical a position for you?

If films like this are going to be denounced for inciting violence against Jews will Nazi films be denounced for inciting violence against Germans?

I will not see the film as it is inappropriate to portray God the Son in a play taking artistic liberty with what He said and did. Besides, I've read The Book. I really don't understand why so many Christians seem much more excited about the movie but not nearly as excited about The Book. My take on it is it's because Christians aren't necessarily immune from the Hollywood and cultural influence of the times. Feelings and emotions trump thought and reason.

However, from what I have read it follows close to what actually took place. The truth can be brutal and hurt. The Jews and Romans were simply the agents while we were all the cause of His death. Let's not loose the forest because we can't see past the trees.

See Isaiah 53:5-6, "But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all".

And so the issue of the suffering and death of Christ is summed up by Paul: 1Cr 15:1-4, "Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures".

Yes, we know democracy cannot work in any other culture. Just look at Japan. Oh, wait a minute. Wrong example. Just look at Hong Kong. Wait a minute I'll come up with one in a minute. Yea, just look at Russia and Poland, Chzech Republic, South Africa, Israel, Brazil, Mexico. No, no wait. Oh yea CUBA! See he's right democracy doesn't work there!

Most seem to miss the point (rather the FACT). That without a doubt, NOT ONE SHREAD OF DOUBT, Iraq had WMD's!
Remember 20,000 Kurds were gassed with WMD's!! Now with that said, can we verify the WMD's were destroyed and the capability and aparatus to make more dismantled? NO! That should be topic number one for the weapons inspectors.

Kay should have made that point. They knew they had them at one point and couldn't verify they were destroyed. EVERY credible intelligence agency in the world thought he still had them. Therefore, you MUST assume they still exist. To do otherwise risks unthinkable calamity.

Of course we all know that if Bush hadn't acted they would be accusing him of not having the courage to do what was needed in disarming Iraq. I can just hear it now..."We need a real leader that can face up to Saddam, I am that person. Not afraid to ...blah, blah, blah."

    FYI:
"And now, Almighty Father, if it is Thy holy will that we shall obtain a place and name among the nations of the earth, grant that we may be enabled to show our gratitude for Thy goodness by our endeavors to fear and obey Thee. Bless us with thy wisdom in our counsels, success in battle, and let our victories be tempered with humanity. Endow, also, our enemies with enlightened minds, that they become sensible of their injustice, and willing to restore our liberty and peace. Grant the petition of Thy servant, for the sake of whom Thou hast called Thy beloved Son; nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done." –George Washington

Yep. You've got to think it through. And you can see by what is being brought up here - withdrawals under $10K - are now being scrutinized. The threshold was $10K but someone withdrawing less that 10K is being monitored. Where does it stop $1,000? $100.00? Besides 20 years from now 10K may actually be like 1,000 if we have strong inflation again like in the 70's - a gift from our friend Jimmy.

So someone gets in trouble for doing something perfectly legal because it prevented the government from monitoring them. Say what?

The power to monitor is the power to control. When will it be illegal to pull the window shades down?

The price of freedom is constant vigilance. It's too bad but it rings true.

So $10K represents a legitimate cause for the government to monitor a citizen. Would you be able to cite any portion of the Bill of Rights or Constitution where you would derive that was granted to the Federal Government?

I don't think anyone here is defending his actions. I'm not and in fact Rush is not.

I didn't fill in my race on the census form (in defiance of the law I might add) just to piss them off. Why would I do something like that! Well frankly it's none of their damn business. Ditto's if you withdraw $10K
