Well, at that moment I was playing President of the Imaginary States of America. That's one of the old Air Force One 707's, and it's mounted in spectacular fashion at the Reagan Library. When you take the tour they take a souvenir photo at the entrance. I did the standard arms-round-the-family one, then asked for another. The only photoshopping was to take out the hanger behind the plane and replace it with a night scene of Tuzla. I think that considering the amount of sniper fire I was taking, I look remarkably calm and collected. It's good to be the...

Which is it Barack? Are you a moron or a liar? Or both? On Monday you claimed your Uncle (not further identified) help liberate Auschwitz. Since it was the Soviets who liberated Auschwitz, that left people wondering who your communist uncle was? So your campaign scrambled to get out the word–No, he meant his great uncle and he meant Buchenwald rather than Auschwitz. There, that settled it. So I have one question–how in the hell did your uncle get to Buchenwald. Was he in a row boat? Looks like Great Uncle Charlie was in the Navy. Service records for Charles...

Gaffe n. A clumsy social error; a faux pas Prevaricate v. To stray from truthfulness or sincerity. Was Barack Obama's latest whopper--about his uncle liberating Auschwitz and then hiding in the attic for six months: was it a prevarication or a gaffe? What others have said: "In one of his more egregious and easily demonstrated lies, made even more so by the day he decided to let it loose on, Obama has rewritten WWII history such that the allies liberated Auschwitz." --Purple Avenger, Ace of Spades HQ"Is there a point at which the media will start calling Barack Obama out...

Barack Obama did something important yesterday. He proved that a neophyte politician can learn enough on the job to be a credible presidential candidate. But what he still lacks is the power and stature to heal his divided party. In a Fox News Sunday interview with Chris Wallace, Obama appeared poised, charming and reasonable. Wallace pressed him gently on a number of issues: taxes, the effect of his race on his competitiveness, and the war, among others. Gone were the flutters and flusters of the ABC Pennsylvania primary debate, the abrupt reactions in the post-Ohio press conference. You can’t credit...

With oil prices skyrocketing, and everybody agreeing in saying that the US should be out of OPEC's grip, there are divergent opinions on how to do it. Me, I want to see a Manhattan/Moon shot type of project, where the US focuses right now on getting out of the grips of OPEC and a petroleum based economy. I know, I know, some elite Rush conservatives on FR will say that I am a heretic, for not waiting for pure economic theory to come through, but hey you Rush elitists, the pure economic theory is not working and people are hurting....

'Misspoke' is rapidly on it's way out the door as a fake excuse for minor hyperbole on one end of the extreme and out and out lying on the other. The archive capability of today's technology means that your past sins, real or "misspoke" are there for all the world to see. Every action, every word, every printed stated or thought is accessible as a cross reference against current ones. It shouldn't be a danger to anyone who's memory matches their actions. It's a huge danger for those whose memory about their actions are made up to suit the moment...

Moreover, when Thompson filed his disclosure form with the IRS, he revealed that $72,000 of the $3.4 million raised is to be used for the general election. Former FEC General Counsel, Larry Noble told the Washington Post "I think it's problematic. Clearly it's a red flag."

In the Parker case, a 2-1 majority of the D.C. Circuit found that the DC city council's prohibition on handguns, and its ban on using any firearm for lawful self-defense, were violations of the Second Amendment. Today, the full Circuit denied the DC government's petition for a rehearing en banc. The decision states: "Appellees' petition for rehearing en banc and the response thereto were circulated to the full court, and a vote was requested. Thereafter, a majority of the judges eligible to participate did not vote in favor of the petition. Upon consideration of the foregoing and appellees' Fed. R....

Professor Wichman E-mail Hooray for Michigan State University (The Spartans) and Professor Wichman! Well, what do we have here. What is wrong with people nowadays? Some of you may remember back in July of 2004 my niece Emma was seriously injured and had to have half her skull removed, along with half her brain. The Doctors and the Police determined that this was not accidental and charged my sisters boyfriend, who was taking care of her at the time, with 2 counts of aggravated child abuse. Well the trial ended today and he was found not guilty on the first count which they said he had no criminal intent to injure my niece. Forget the fact that out of...
