Wells Fargo suspended travel for all of its employees to China on Thursday after the Chinese government slapped an exit ban on banker Chenyue Mao. Mao is an American citizen who was born in Shanghai. She is a managing director for Wells Fargo, working from an office in Atlanta. According to the bank, her duties include helping international companies manage their working capital in different countries. Mao specializes in “factoring,” the practice of selling accounts receivable to third parties. The seller gets cash immediately, while the buyer or “factor” proceeds to collect on the invoices they purchased at a discount....

A group of four Florida Democrats--Reps. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Maxwell Alejandro Frost, Darren Soto, and Jared Moskowitz--visited the new "Alligator Alcatraz" immigration detention center in the Everglades and judged the accommodations "disturbing and disgusting." Wasserman-Schultz observed "the place is like a prison. Freedom of movement is restricted. Detainees are served grilled cheese sandwiches while employees are served roasted chicken meals. The are no fences or walls to prevent detainees from wandering into the alligator and snake infested swamp that surrounds the place. It's as if they're daring the inmates to try to escape." Frost brought a binder filled with names and...

Many people are questioning why Tulsi Gabbard is able to discover and expose activity by the Obama administration and the Intelligence Community, yet prior office holders did not.Last year, when asked for approaches that could assist a Trump Term-2, I outlined the possibilities for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). What we are seeing today is running in direct parallel to that original outline. As our conversation expands, and we await the counter attack against her, perhaps it is worth a revisit. I will explain the predictable counter attack at the end.August, 2024 – The ODNI was created...

France's budget rollout this week came on the day after Bastille Day also in the middle of the summer. It was a shocking and controversial budget but not entirely unexpected. France faces the challenge of compliance with fiscal rules of the European Union and compliance with the increase in NATO defense spending as demanded by US President Donald Trump... If the opposition join forces to censure the government in response the road to new elections is opened where the opposition may be able to maintain or even gain legislative strength... Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that military bases would be used to temporarily house illegal aliens. The Department of Defense shared with Fox News that a section of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, which is in New Jersey, will be one of the bases, along with Camp Atterbury, which is in Indiana. New Jersey Democrats, not surprisingly, were upset with the Defense Department’s decision to house illegals on local military bases. They claimed it would affect military preparedness, which is a little difficult to believe considering the Democrat party’s respect for the institution in the previous four years under crooked Joe...

A "pro-Palestine" protest in Umeå, in northern #Sweden, staged a Nazi-style display of Jews hanging while wearing the striped unforms of Auschwitz and other concentration camp inmates. U.S. — The news media which remained unconcerned for four years by the lack of circulation to former President Biden's brain have expressed deep concern over the circulation in President Trump's ankles. Journalists, who were unable to identify any symptoms of cognitive decline in a man who could not speak and shook hands with ghosts, have sounded the alarm over the mild swelling in Trump's ankles. "This is no deep fake, America. This is real," said ABC journalist Mario Arrato. "The administration says Trump is okay, but as journalists, we do not simply take their word that the President is...

VIDEODNI Director Tulsi Gabbard has the evidence of the COUP against Trump which was launched in the White House in December 2016 before he even took office. One of those in attendance when the coup was hatched was Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes. He is denying it now but as you can see his motivation is that he has bull blown TDS which is so powerful that it overrides any sense of ethical behavior to the extent it can cause the victim to commit TREASON.

Bad news for Texans hoping to breeze through the airport this summer: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has been named the most stressful major airport in the country, according to a new study on travel. The report, from MarketWatch Guides and based on data from the Bureau of Transportation, ranked DFW last among 30 major American airports in its “stress-free” rankings. Researchers compiled factors such as flight delays, cancellations, TSA wait times, lost luggage reports, and average ticket prices to ultimately determine which airports create the most (and least) anxiety for travelers. DFW earned its unfortunate top spot thanks to...

https://danfromsquirrelhill.wordpress.com/2025/07/19/instead-of-4/Instead of defunding NPR, we should ask them to please explain why their editorial board consists of 87 registered Democrats and 0 registered Republicans, and why they suspended senior editor Uri Berliner after he mentioned that information in an essay that was published by The Free Press.By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)July 19, 2025According to the political ideology that I subscribe to (libertarian), I’m supposed to be in favor of ending government funding of NPR. And from a theoretical point of view, I agree with that position. But for me, the real world always supersedes any theory. NPR, along...

Kevin O’Connor, a presidential physician during the Biden-Harris years, recently infuriated Congress by repeatedly invoking both the Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination and the tradition of physician-client privilege, when being grilled by a House committee about his care of patient Joseph R. Biden, and the question of when it became clear to all concerned that Biden was incapacitated. A current historical anniversary crystallizes the difference in how we treat this issue: Forty years ago this week, President Ronald Reagan was in the hospital recovering from colon surgery. He had gone under general anesthesia for an operation on July 13, before...

Did we hit Iran hard enough before we stopped? This is always the question, anytime you engage in diplomacy, warfare, or a combination of the two. When it becomes necessary to do something, the question is “How much?” Israel has led the effort against Iran, as Iran has been the chief aggressor against Israel. For 46 years now, the mullahs who rule that poor country have not only threatened Israel (and the USA too) on a constant basis, they have also funded, trained, and directed numerous terrorist organizations in the region, chief among which are Hamas of Gaza, Hezbollah of...

Last week, former President Biden's physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor refused to answer questions regarding his patient's fitness to carry out the duties required of the presidency. Earlier this week, Anthony Bernal, senior advisor to First Lady Jill Biden, refused to answer questions on the same subject. On Friday, Annie Tomasini, deputy chief of staff to Biden, refused to answer questions on the same subject. All three of them invoked their 5th Amendment right against self incrimination. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said the "pattern of key Biden confidants seeking to shield themselves from criminal liability increases our suspicion that...

Tourists, international students and business travelers may be required to pay a $250 fee when visiting the United States on a non-immigrant visa. The new provision applies solely to visitors from countries that require a non-immigrant visa for entry, as outlined in the “big, beautiful” spending bill signed by President Trump, according to the Envoy Global law firm. No formal start date has been announced to begin the collection of the “visa integrity fee.” Starting in 2026, the $250 price could increase to accommodate inflation, per the law firm. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be tasked with determining the...

see this interesting post on X:Male college grads are now just as likely to be unemployed as people who never went to collegeSame is not true for women, who are much more likely to land a job once they graduate collegeThe data is just eye opening. LONDON -- The Bank of England has asked some lenders to test their resilience to potential U.S. dollar shocks, three sources said, the latest sign of how the Trump administration's policies are eroding trust in the U.S. as a bedrock of financial stability. As the leading currency for global trade and capital flows, the U.S. dollar is the lifeblood of global finance. However, President Donald Trump's break from long-standing U.S. policy in areas such as free trade and defence has forced policymakers to consider whether the emergency provision of dollars in times of financial stress can still be relied on....

Elite universities know they’re in the wrong. For years, they’ve been: Charging upwards of 60% for “overhead” costs for federal research grants. Blatantly violating the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2023 Civil Rights ruling barring race-based admissions and hiring practices. Allowing rampant antisemitism on campus. Reliant on international students from illiberal regimes. Facing both mounting pressure from the Trump administration to change their ways, and vocal opposition from their Marxist students and faculty to remain the same, university presidents are starting to fold:
