Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) [Editor’s Note: The Campaign Update will be silent from July 11 through July 23 because Dave needs some down time.] The world mourns the loss of a leftist hero. – Americans all over…well…somewhere were saddened on Monday when Democrat presidential non-contender Eric Swalwell, who famously promised on Twitter to nuke recalcitrant citizens who refused to surrender their guns to his planned army of jack-booted thugs, announced he was ending his campaign. Swalwell had run a valiant, disciplined and focused campaign, one that saw him rise all the way up to next-to-last place...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticizes Wayfair for providing beds to the children of illegal immigrants. Would she prefer that these children sleep on the floor? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently criticized Wayfair for providing beds to the children of illegal immigrants. This is a screenshot of her tweet: (original, archive)The text of her tweet states:“Wayfair workers couldnÂ’t stomach they were making beds to cage children.†“They asked the company to stop. CEO said no.†“Tomorrow, they‘re walking out.†“This is what solidarity looks like – a reminder that everyday people have real power, as long as weÂ’re brave enough to use it.â€Would Ocasio-Cortez prefer that these...

In order for the women’s soccer team to be paid as much as the men’s team, at least one of these two things should have to happen In order for the women’s soccer team to be paid as much as the men’s team, at least one of these two things should have to happen:1) The women’s games generate as much advertising revenue as the men’s games.2) The women’s team plays 25 games against the men’s team, and the women’s team wins at least 40% of those games.

Just when you think you've heard it all, the American Psychological Association (APA) decides this: Monogamy is the new bigotry. That's right. According to the supposed "mental health experts," open marriages are the tolerant approach to intimacy. And they've launched a task force to prove it to the world. According to the APA's official description of this initiative, "Finding love and/or sexual intimacy is a central part of most people's life experience. However, the ability to engage in desired intimacy without social and medical stigmatization is not a liberty for all." People who practice "consensual non-monogamy," as they call it,...

Colin Kaepernick has a soul mate in Megan Rapinoe. The two of them could be a pair. Rapinoe announced to the whole world that she would not be singing the national anthem at the games in protest of Donald Trump Soccer star Megan Rapinoe has vowed to continue her national anthem protests while representing the US in next month’s Women’s World Cup — calling it a “good ‘F you'” to the Trump administration. “I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart,” the 33-year-old national co-captain told Yahoo sports.“I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again.” Rapinoe, who already sparked outrage by taking...

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s red past showed its ugly head recently in Miami where the Democratic presidential candidate offended the masses by glamorizing a Marxist revolutionary who executed thousands to impose communism and begged his Soviet compadres to nuke the U.S. At a union rally for striking airport workers, de Blasio proudly quoted Ernesto Che Guevara, a terrorist murderer who helped Cuban dictator Fidel Castro execute thousands of men, women and children in front of firing squads. He happens to be one of the most despised historical figures in south Florida. True to his communist roots, de Blasio...

We watch with apprehensive incredulity at Democrat Presidential candidates brawling to outdo one another’s capacity to claim victimhood, and depressingly avow to outspend one another, abusing all taxpayers, while a majority of our media applauds their zealous scramble toward the destruction of America. Their tumult deliberately denies the fact that the single most critical element in the provision of oxygen for America’s long-term stability and well-being is the entrepreneur. The vast majority of American’s are not entrepreneurs, but they depend on the triumph of that minority whose determination, creativity, and inclination to take risks, contributes to the Nation’s...

VIDEO My suspicions about the supposed Joe Biden OVERFLOW crowd in Charleston, SC was aroused when I noted that ONLY media folks (and Biden's press secretary) were posting about it on Twitter. An investigation easily revealed that the OVERFLOW crowd was nowhere near the numbers that were hyped by the media. In fact, they could have easily fit into the main room. My suspicion is that many of them did go into the main room (with room to spare) after they listened to Biden speak to them from a stage complete with sound system oh so conveniently set up for...

Deregulation is about the most wonky, least click-baity topic there is. It also may be the single biggest reason for the ongoing economic successes of the Trump administration — probably even more than the tax reform package, valuable as that was. But almost nobody knows about this stealth economic engine and only a few of us continually mention it when referring to the economic powerhouse. Everything else, everything else gets coverage in the Trump administration whether it should or not. But not deregulation. It’s both boring and effective — which combine to make it totally un-newsy. Which is a shame,...

Long-shot presidential contender Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) defended the field’s unanimous endorsement of free health care for those entering the US illegally. “Many of those crossing our southern border bring deadly diseases with them,” he pointed out. “Treating them strikes me as pretty much a ‘no brainer.’ In fact, the more I think about it, I believe that to get out in front of this potential pandemic we need to extend free health care to every potential immigrant. If we can cure them in their home countries they’ll be in better shape for the long journey, less likely to die...

A key component of the Russia hoax was trying to convince the American public that Russian espionage had been conducted on behalf of Donald Trump. Moreover with Trump’sknowledge and encouragement. Lost in the analysis is the clear and obvious Russian fingerprints all over the Steele dossier. The factual basis of the Wikileaks revelations. The opaque nature of the evidence regarding the DNC server. The lack of any collusion with the Trump campaign. The existence of a coordinated effort to entrap the Trump campaign by the Obama White House. The effort to frame Trump as a Russian agent. Both as a...

The lawyer for one of the victims of Jeffrey Epstein said President Trump was the “only” high powered person to help him with his investigation, contradicting claims by some that Trump is implicated in Epstein’s crimes. Epstein was arrested on Saturday night on charges of sex trafficking of minors. Speculation is now raging as to which of Epstein’s influential friends will be caught up in the scandal, with Nancy Pelosi’s daughter tweeting, “It is quite likely that some of our faves are implicated.” Others have claimed that Trump is implicated because he was socially connected to Epstein at one time...

Ordinarily, we don’t get too excited these days when we hear a politician make a prediction about what will and will not come out of the ongoing “Spygate” origins probe being conducted by Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham. But that’s because we often hear such predictions coming from the usual suspects who belong to the House Freedom Caucus. Don’t get us wrong, many of those members have doggedly pursued details and leads in this massive scandal involving an operation to literally depose a sitting, duly elected president. But all smoke and no fire gets old. So...

Ripley’s Mom linked this yesterday: Michelle Obama’s July 4th Weekend Message to Americans. I think it’s part of the Obamas’ Netflix deal - they plan to turn it into a series titled “Michelle Obama Shares Her Deep Thoughts.” Even with the new Jeri curls and cheek fillers she looks like an angry black woman Here she is telling us how deeply emotional that last day in the White House was for her and her family: “The truth is, on that day I was moving my children out of the only house they had really grown up in,” the former first...

Winchester introduced their .44 WCF, better known these days as the .44-40, in 1873. That, of course, was in the Model 1873 rifle, which became the cowboy's favorite. That rifle in .44-40, as well as the other calibers that were introduced later, remained in production and in the catalogs until 1920 or so. The Model 1892 Winchester did not "replace" the older '73 and those two rifles were made side-by-side for almost 30 years. Many shooters preferred the Model '73 and those shooters were highly pleased to see Winchester bring it back again. The new versions of Winchester’s Model 1873...
