Angie's List, which compiles and makes available consumer reports on local businesses, has bought into Al Gore's global warming hysteria lock, stock and oil barrel. April's Angie's List magazine is devoted to "green" issues. Although the magazine's only about five-dozen pages, it manages to squeeze in two pictures of profoundly loopy former president Jimmy Carter, who "installed solar panels on the White House roof," something that apparently is to be applauded. But not by anyone who paid attention. An April, 1979 Associated Press story began: "A new solar water-heating system being installed at the White House costs thousands of dollars...

Looking for a good proxy server. There are no real links on my site about who I really am but I have received a few threats lately. Threats of violence and one even was going to kill my wife and baby too. These are all coming from Chinese servers and I thought for a little added security I should start posting things here and on my site with a proxy server. Any ideas guys?

Obama friend and associate, William/Bill Ayers, from his own red-communist-star-headed website (http://billayers.wordpress.com/2008/04/), calls out Hannity and 'others' to debate communism vs capitalism. William/Bill Ayers, April 6, 2008: "Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must...

Is this the best American can offer to the American people and the world? A barely Republican aging typical white guy and two opportunist who will sell their party's and the American dream down the river to prove that diversity is working. God help us.

I remember when I would play GTA3 that there was an in-game talk radio station that ended up becoming one of my favorites. The station was called Chatterbox and Lazlow Jones played the role of the host (as himself). Like any other radio talk show (albeit scripted and pre-recorded), there were callers and commentary. One of the "calls" was from a local community activist who wanted to promote a political rally that touted "hope," "change," and "justice." Of course, when Lazlow presses the caller for specifics on what the rally is for, the caller won't answer. Does this sound familiar...

Shanghai Daily In an accidental admission today a report on the Shanghai Daily web page admits that Tibetans are not Chinese. "In Los Angeles, the Chinese American community has been enraged by "Tibet independence" activists' attempts to disrupt the global torch relay of the Beijing Olympics and some prominent members have acted to fight back, the Los Angeles Times reported on Friday." Read this carefully. They are saying that Chinese people do not support the Tibetan cause. Chinese people are "enraged" On one hand they claim Tibet and Tibetans are Chinese. But now we find out that anyone who supports...

Barack Obama believes in change. That sounds absolutely fantastic until you start asking "what, exactly, are we changing?" When it comes to you and your family's finances, the "change" Barack believes in basically means changing your money into the government's money. And while it is a given that every Democrat wants to raise taxes, Barack's plan is especially dangerous. Barack has said he wants to raise the capital gains tax, basically a tax on profit from the sale of investments in stocks or bonds, from its current 15% to as much as 28%. When asked why a hike to 28%...

"Relying, apparently, on concrete findings, former top U.S. weapons inspector Dr. David Kay said that "the Iraqis had developed new techniques for drying anthrax - techniques that were superior to anything the United States or the old Soviet Union had. That would make the former regime of Saddam Hussein the most sophisticated manufacturer of anthrax in the world." (Washington Post, 16 septembre 2005)

With less than two months to go before it is due to land on Mars, NASA's Phoenix probe has been directed towards a specific landing site called Green Valley. The site has few boulders that could potentially endanger a landing and lots of water ice for the lander to study.

“Suffering Sheep and Their Good Shepherd” (1 Peter 2:19-25)This day is known in the church as “Good Shepherd Sunday.” The readings from Psalm 23 and John 10, the Collect of the Day, the hymns--all these carry the theme of the Lord as our Good Shepherd. The images that come to our mind on Good Shepherd Sunday usually are very peaceful and pleasant ones. We think of sheep safely grazing in green pastures, being led beside still waters. We picture Jesus carrying a lamb in his arms or a sheep across his shoulders. This is all well and good. The shepherd...

I haven't had much bandwidth to blog at all, but have been reading with interest (and a little depression) the hoohah about God and guns that Obama has triggered. Most of the obvious points have been covered, but I had a thought which I haven't seen addressed, and it opens an interesting line of argument for me, so I thought I'd toss it out. Here's Obama's original quote: So, it depends on where you are, but I think it's fair to say that the places where we are going to have to do the most work are the places where...

Is it okay to hate a movie before you've seen it? I hated Nick Broomfield’s movie Battle For Haditha from the first few moments into the seven-minute trailer. But at least one Marine doesn’t think I’m being fair.Elliot Ruiz is the lead actor in the film. He plays Corporal Ramirez—a character based on the real-life Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich. Ruiz was also a real Marine. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The war ended for him in April 2004 when an Iraqi drove a car through barbed wire at a checkpoint, and the wire almost tore Ruiz’s leg apart. We had...

IMHO the "bitter, guns, god, small town" blow up is fatal for Obama. He can maybe still win the dem primary, but he is DOA in the general election.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to...

Andy sent me this EXPOLSIVE story: The Speaker of the House, California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, lead an entourage to hold talks with Syrian President Bashar Assad, with intentions of undermine our military operations inside Iraq, and members of that entourage met with members of the PKK (The Kurdistan Workers' Party), an affiliated terrorist organization, namely PJAK (An arm of the PKK who were tasked with handling the battle within Iraq.) leader Rahman Haji Ahmadi, and everybody in the know was too scared to go public with it. Remember that trip last spring by Pelosi (in the hijab no less) and...
