A recent article about John Edwards made me think of that movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's about a man who goes through a painful break-up with his girlfriend. Rather than deal with the pain of losing the love of his life, he has a doctor erase all memories of her. I suspect the last 40 years have been so traumatic for John Edwards that he has decided to go to the same doctor.

In an effort to improve her image among liberal bloggers who are angered by her refusal to renounce her vote...U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has hired Peter Daou, one of the most prominent political bloggers...[excerpt]

Conservative author Ann Coulter fired back at Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) for calling her "vicious [and] mean-spirited" towards a group of politically active 9/11 widows who blamed Pres. Bush for the deaths of their husbands and who campaigned for John Kerry in 2004. Coulter, while hosting a book signing in Long Island, told radio host Sean Hannity that Clinton should have a talk with her husband, Bill, if she's worried about people being mean to women.

I need your help: This John Murtha thing has me so fired up that, in the spirit of Shakespeare, I've decided to "kill him with kindness" by sending Mr. Murtha a belated Memorial Day gift...

When confronted with acts of stunning atrocity, such as the attacks of September 11th, the Madrid train bombings, the two attacks in Bali, or the synchronized bombings in the London underground, many navel-gazing Westerners are prompted to ask, "Why do they hate us?" Although there's something off-putting about the implicit blame-the-victim mentality in a question like that, it nonetheless is a legitimate question to ask. Some people ask that question rhetorically: to them, the answer to "Why do they hate us?" always leads one place: it's our fault. To these people, any horrific act anywhere in the world is a...

Michael "Savage" Weiner lied on the last night - said he beat Mark Levin in New York. You can't believe anything this pseudo-conservative says. Mark Levin beat Weiner in yesterday's ratings in New York. In fact, he has beaten Savage in every single ratings book in New York since they went head-to-head. Here are the official numbers (grouped by age) in New York City: 12+ Levin 4.2 12+ Savage 3.7 18-49 Levin 2.1 18-49 Savage 1.8 25-54 Levin 2.4 25-54 Savage 2.0 35-64 Levin 3.9 35-64 Savage 3.3

NEW YORK -- As reported Friday, Ben Domenech's new Red America blog at washingtonpost.com has expired after three days, amid charges of plagiarism against him. Some conservatives joined liberals in calling for his exit Friday morning. Domenech responded to some of the plagiarism charges in a lengthy post at the site he co-founded, Red State.org, denying or ratonalizing them. After that, he continued: "The truth is, no conservative could write for the Post without being subject to the gauntlet of the liberal attack machine. There is no question in my mind that any RedState contributor writing for this blog would...

NEW YORK A two-day effort by liberal bloggers to find, and publicize, numerous examples of plagiarism committed by new Washington Post blogger Ben Domenech culminated today in calls that he give up his new position--from some of his conservative supporters. One of them, most dramatically, is columnist and blogger Michelle Malkin. As an editor at Regnery, Domenech handled her most recent book. Conservatives had hailed Domenech's appointment to write the Red America blog. "I cheered for Ben, the editor of my last book at Regnery, when he announced his new position," Malkin wrote on her Web site today. "I criticized...

Betsy Newmark, one of my favorite bloggers who I've been honored to have guest-blog here, is down. I asked her what happened. She e-mails about her nightmare: Evil Blogger has lost the page - server problems. They are the most unhelpful organization. You can't reach any human being and all I get are form letters saying that all the problems have been resolved. I'm just hoping that they fix their problem and I get back on. I don't have time to hassle with setting up a new page. She adds: All I get are their automated messages that are of...

While everyone is justifiably outraged by America's relinquishment of six major ports to a Dubaian company, Dubai Ports (also, called DP World), the real outrage should be this: Where was the outrage in the last 4.5 years? Why has our country continued to maintain great relations with the governments of Dubai and its larger federation of emirates, the United Arab Emirates? Since we've never disciplined or even scolded either Dubai or the larger UAE, they have been free to operate as usual. And we've never treated or recognized both as anything but allies. It's hard to let this fester for...

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - He didn't have to go, it wasn't his job and nobody paid him to do it. But Michael Yon says he went to Iraq because he wanted to see for himself what was happening in the war zone. The 41-year-old former Green Beret and author was embedded as a freelance journalist with troops last year and used an Internet blog to report on car bombs, firefights and fallen soldiers. He also wrote about acts of compassion and heroism, small triumphs in the country's crawl toward democracy and the gritty inner workings of the military. Yon's...

A local blogger is appealing to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy to help him fight the U.S. Army over copyright claims to a heartbreaking photo he took of a young Iraqi girl mortally wounded by a terrorist explosion. Michael Yon, a former Green Beret and an embedded blogger journalist in Iraq, took what some consider one of the more famous photos of the war last May — of a U.S. GI cradling a dying Iraqi girl. The U.S. Army later released the photo, which was flashed around the world and prominently displayed by newspapers, broadcast stations and Web sites. But Yon,...
