Could these people be any more predictable? There’s nothing they won’t blame on Bush. Even Obama’s failure to sell himself to the corrupt IOC is Bush’s fault. As if his emotional, heartfelt, energetic appeal should have been enough to win over the world, if not for that evil cowboy in Texas. Olympic swimmer Rowdy Gaines called it a hangover from the past eight years. Um, I think he may be right about the hangover, but it’s from the past eight months! Roland Burris said Obama failed because Bush tarnished America’s image so badly even The One couldn’t undo the damage....

Recent videos from two investigative reporters, James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, with the help of Andrew Breitbart, showed that community-group ACORN engaging in scandalous practices. But MSNBC host Rachel Maddow argued Sept. 24 that wasn't the story that mattered. ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, was hit hard by the videos showing employees giving tax avoidance advice to a "pimp" and "hooker." But Maddow rose to the defense of ACORN which she called a right-wing "bogeyman," crusading for them on her MSNBC show. She accused corporations of going into "kill mode" against the organization which helps "poor...

“And the whole country’s under threat now, with the economic difficulties and political polarization,” said Post, now a professor of psychiatry at The George Washington University. “The need to have someone to blame is really strong in human psychology. And once you have someone to blame, especially when there’s a call to action, some see it as a time for heroic action.”

Democrats like to blame the health insurance industry for the high cost of health care. According to Nancy Pelosi,"They are the villains in this," Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters. She labeled industry practices as "immoral." The truth is insurers are actually holding down costs. Most insurance companies send a statement to clients after they use health care services. Check your statement and you will see the insurance company is getting a 40% to 50% discount for services. A PricewaterhouseCoopers study of 2008 costs indicates 87% of insurance premiums go to pay for health care services. Only 3% are insurance company...

"Again this month, a Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 39% say the bad economy is caused more by Obama’s policies, but 55% blame President Bush. These findings are unchanged from the previous two months. In May, 62% blamed Bush more, while 27% thought Obama’s policies were at fault. Also unchanged this month are the overall findings on economic judgment. Sixty percent (60%) of voters say they trust their own judgment on economic issues more than the president’s. Twenty-seven percent (27%) trust Obama more, and 14% are not sure. "

Trust but verify. -- Ronald Reagan It's good practice to take a person at his word until someone shows you proof he is lying. Barack Obama says he was born in Hawaii, and since no one has shown any proof he was born in Kenya or elsewhere, it's OK to conclude he was born in Hawaii. Sure his grammar school records show that he was enrolled as an Indonesian Muslim, but some people will say anything to get their kid in the right school. It doesn't really answer the question. It's OK though for others not to use my deferential...

Waters blames Rahm for recalcitrant Dems on healthcare @ 1:44 pm by Michael O'Brien The White House may only have one of its top officials to blame for its difficulty in passing healthcare, one liberal California Democrat asserted Tuesday. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) blamed now-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's work as head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), during which he worked to recruit many centrist candidates, resulting in landslide Democratic victories, for difficulties facing House leaders trying to pass reform legislation. "That may be difficult for Rahm Emanuel, because remember, he recruited most of them," Waters...

Most Americans—54%--still blame President George W. Bush for the nation’s economic woes. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 39% say the policies of President Barack Obama are to blame. Those top-line figures are unchanged from a month ago. Two months ago, 62% blamed Bush. By a two-to-one margin, voters trust their own economic judgment more than the President’s. That, too, is little changed over the past month. However, in February, just 49% trusted their own economic judgment more than the president’s. Fifty-seven percent (57%) of women still blame Bush for the economic problems. That view is shared by...

Big new taxes. Big new spending. Big new government. This seems to be the proposed cure for the Wall Street-inspired recession. The government now runs major banks and companies, and plans to take control of the American health care system. And it aims to tax how energy in the U.S. is used to monitor carbon use. But wait! Recent financial rescue and stimulus plans, together with other new government initiatives, have already led to the largest dollar deficits in American history, projected to be near $2 trillion at fiscal year's end. Before some of these new proposals are even enacted,...

President Obama says the GOP has a lot of "nerve" for criticizing Obama's handling of the economy after they got the country in this "fiscal hole."

Obama blasted the "familiar script" of Republicans who "have openly declared their intention to block healthcare reform."

Who’s to blame for the subprime housing bubble? A popular answer – especially on the right side of the aisle - is Massachusetts Democrat, Barney Frank. Is it true? Frank doesn't think so. .. Frank not only denies it, he shifts the blame to the Bush administration. When it came to a Republican bill to reform Fannie and Freddie, President Bush gave his own party "the one finger salute," he colorfully says. Second, Democrats not only did not cause the crisis, they were aginst subprime lending all together: . . Finally, the real estate crash was not something even the...

When will the failing U.S. economy become President Obama's problem? To date, the president seems immune to criticism of his handling of the economy, except from conservatives. Job losses continue to mount, despite his promises that his "stimulus" plan would create jobs and stop rising unemployment. The housing market shows no sign of imminent recovery, with prices continuing to decline and more homeowners falling behind on their payments. Retail sales fell again in June, with even value stores like Costco experiencing drops in sales. And the federal debt has risen under President Obama to its highest level as a percentage...

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were the chief culprits in the housing crisis because they encouraged people who could not afford payments to borrow money, according to a congressional report released Tuesday. The claims in the report have long been advanced by conservatives, who argue that the Community Reinvestment Act and other federal programs fed the housing bubble that burst in 2007 and led to the economic downfall in 2008. But the report explains in detail how Fannie and Freddie -- government sponsored enterprises (GSE) that were not subject to the same oversight as other publicly traded firms -- “privatized...
