@jackOur communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we’re blocking: unacceptable.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday was locked out of her personal Twitter account for sharing The Post’s bombshell cover story on Hunter Biden’s alleged hard drive and an email linking Joe Biden to his son’s job at a Ukrainian energy company. “Your account has been locked,” a message from the social media network informed McEnany, whose account has more than 1 million followers. “We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules,” the network said, highlighting her prior tweet with a link to The Post’s article. Without providing any evidence, Twitter said McEnany — who shared...

A Supreme Court justice has urged his colleagues to tackle the issue of immunity for social media platforms. On Tuesday, Justice Clarence Thomas asked the court to consider scaling back Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The section in question has served as a shield for social media companies, protecting them from content users upload to their platforms. When it comes to content posted on their sites, these companies have argued they are more like distributors of information than publishers. In most cases, the legislation grants immunity from legal prosecution, should a user post content that is deemed illegal...

Some Republican lawmakers lashed out at Twitter and Facebook on Wednesday over the platforms’ decisions to limit the spread of a New York Post story about Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. The GOP lawmakers characterized the moves as censorship and renewed their allegations that social media platforms have an anti-conservative bias. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) sent letters to both Facebook and Twitter over their decisions to clamp down on the spread of the article. "I find this behavior stunning but not surprising from a platform that has censored the President of the United States,” Hawley wrote to...

@realDonaldTrumpSo terrible that Facebook and Twitter took down the story of “Smoking Gun” emails related to Sleepy Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in the @NYPost. It is only the beginning for them. There is nothing worse than a corrupt politician. REPEAL SECTION 230!!!

While a decision in Google v. Oracle isn’t expected for a few months, the justices’ pointed questioning at the Big Tech giant indicates Google broke the law to get ahead. Michael J. PappasBy Michael J. Pappas OCTOBER 14, 2020 The Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Google v. Oracle on Oct. 7. The case involves several legal issues, all of which boil down to one principal question: Did Google cheat and steal its way to the top?

While a decision on the case isn’t expected for a few months, the justices’ pointed questioning at the Big Tech giant points to...

Silicon Valley honchos have “overwhelmingly” contributed to Democratic nominee Joe Biden, as the tech industry largely hopes President Trump is defeated on Election Day, according to a review of campaign finance data by WIRED magazine. “WIRED found that employees at Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Oracle have contributed nearly 20 times as much money to Biden as to Trump since the beginning of 2019,” the technology publication reported on Tuesday in a report headlined, “Silicon Valley Opens Its Wallet for Joe Biden.” Conservatives and Trump supporters have long accused many tech companies of liberal bias and WIRED’s analysis found...

Conservatives and patriots could be forgiven for believing, in the heat of a presidential election, that overcoming the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 will be enough to preserve the American Way for our children and grandchildren. But, unfortunately, that's a gross oversimplification of the threats to our liberty. There’s a more significant threat critiqued by Republicans and Democrats alike that’s lurking in plain sight — and that’s Big Tech.Everyone knows that the "legacy media" — crusty old journalistic powerhouses like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the mainstream network news — are running on fumes. Their readership and viewership...

Twitter warned Friday it will remove posts on its platform that wish for President Trump’s death after he announced he tested positive for COVID-19. After reports initially surfaced that Twitter would suspend accounts that posted such messages, the company said the tweets would not merit immediate suspension, but would be swiftly removed. “[T]weets that wish or hope for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against *anyone* are not allowed and will need to be removed. this does not automatically mean suspension,” the platform tweeted from its communications account. The warning comes the same day as Trump’s announcement that he...

Consider the sea of youths rioting in the streets, often about an event for which they have few actual facts. It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that the Left has a large percentage of today’s youth in its clutches. To understand why so many young people are hopelessly deluded by a Leftist media onslaught, which invariably depicts America as evil, it’s useful to step back. In November 1990, 25 leading academics and media researchers gathered for a conference on, "The Impact of the Media on Children and the Family." One of the organizers commented, "Given the diversity of participants, the...

The two dozen tech geniuses who endorsed Joe Biden in a recent New York Times letter showed an obliviousness all too typical of the industry. Biden and running mate Kamala Harris “listen to experts before setting public policy,” they claim — which evidently means they’ll favor the tech industry’s preferences when it comes to immigration policy. The 24 winners of the Turing Award, aka the Nobel Prize of programming, don’t run the Big Tech companies. But they clearly join in the industry’s upset over H-1B visas, which normally allow for the recruitment of immigrants with specialized skills — until President...

CALIFORNIA: Facebook may have to pull out of Europe if the Irish Data Protection Commission enforces a ban on sharing data with the US after the European Court of Justice found that the bloc's measures to protect its data from US intelligence agencies were insufficient, Head of Data Protection and Associate General Counsel at Facebook Ireland Yvonne Cunnane said in a court filing. In July, the European Court of Justice invalidated the 2016 Privacy Shield, saying that EU digital privacy laws were at risk of being violated under the agreement, which allows for data to be transferred, stored, and processed...

It looks like the harbingers Dr. Robert Epstein had warned the country about regarding liberal Big Tech’s influence in elections is coming true. Big Tech giant Facebook informed the Media Research Center that it would be partnering with the nonpartisan digital encyclopedia Ballotpedia and the radical left-wing organization Democracy Works to help formulate the online platform’s 2020 election strategy. What makes this partnership so damning is that Democracy Works in particular has been heavily funded with millions collectively by at least six liberal organizations between 2012 and 2019. Also concerning is that Big Tech giant Google is also working with...

Online censorship of conservatives is out of control, and the Media Research Center is doing something about it. The MRC just launched #FreeSpeechAmerica, designed to push back against Big Tech’s abuse of power. “Our position is that if they can do it to the president of the United States, they can do it to anyone, and in fact that is exactly what is happening,” said Media Research Center founder and president Brent Bozell in a virtual launch event on Sept. 17. “Every platform in Silicon Valley today is censoring conservatives.”

Twitter slapped warning labels on several of President Trump’s tweets on Thursday after the tweets encouraged voters who submitted ballots by mail to visit their polling stations on Election Day in order to verify their vote had been counted. Twitter deemed the messages a violation of its policy against advocating illegal election activity. Preventing users from reading the posts without first viewing a warning that the tweet “violated the Twitter rules about civic and election integrity,” the social media behemoth conveniently neglected to disclose its partnership with two groups financed by leftist donors deeply involved in voter participation efforts, including...
