PORTLAND, Ore. — Earlier this month, Multnomah County's new District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced a new policy saying his office would not prosecute many of those arrested while demonstrating in Portland. The policy states they will not prosecute unless there is deliberate property damage, theft, or threat of force against another person.
