I got a phone call from one of my brothers on the 4rd, passing along the very bad news that our brother, Neil E. Wright, had died and been found by his landlord. I don't know how active he'd been here on FR of late, but I do know he had a goodly number of friends here. Your prayers for the family will be appreciated.

I've just been notified by his wife that Thom Stickel (A little elbow grease) passed away yesterday. Thom was a proud alumni of the University of Pittsburgh, where he played baseball on scholarship. Our mutual love of baseball shaped our friendship and our similar ages allowed for great memories dating back to the late 50s and 60s. He never let me forget about the greatest homerun ever hit by Bill Mazeroski against the Yankees in 1960 :) I'll miss Thom and our offline exchanges badly and I know many others will miss him too. God bless you Thom, your presence...

It is with a very heavy heart that I am announcing that the TCMS will be no more. humblegunner & I had a serious discussion about this several months ago and we both agreed it was time for it to end. The past several years I have dreaded planning this event, even though there isn't a lot to the planning as it has become a well oiled machine. It just doesn't seem the same anymore. We have a great 14 year run! I will definitely miss seeing all of you at this event. Know that I adore all of you....

Ardent troop supporter, music teacher and FReeper seekthetruth (Jean) passed away on September 27, 2019. Many of us here have read her posts or received her messages, particularly where activists could gather to demonstrate in support of our military men and women. Jeanie's FR home page tells of her years of bringing delight through music to her kindergarten pupils. She was a Trump enthusiast as well. She is survived by her husband Jim, many family members, and her dear friend and military support activist Beverly Perlson, whose communiqués about military issues and causes were often posted on FR by seekthetruth....
