Babies -- Bought, Sold and Traded LONDON, SEPT. 17, 2005 (Zenit.org) Abortion advocates' decades-long push to deny or downplay the humanity of the unborn child is bearing fruit. Unborn children are increasingly being treated like consumer products, if recent news stories are an indication. Last Saturday the London-based Times published a story describing how the Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in Kharkov, sells baby parts. The list on its Web site offers a variety of cells and other tissues from babies. The institute alleges that the material comes from fetuses...

Moments after she began smashing the windows of a late-model Chrysler Town & Country minivan outside the 2019 Detroit auto show, police had the white, floppy-eared dog in handcuffs. The Detroit woman joined more than a dozen others, some from out of state, during a PETA protest of a Chrysler dealership outside the 2019 North American International Auto Show. The activists condemned the Alaska dealership’s sponsorship of the...

Thus, rather than let animals at least live in “no-kill sheltersâ€, it created “kill shelters†to relieve allegedly suffering animals from suffering in a “no-kill shelter†by killing them.  PETA supports kill shelters and has one at its headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2017 alone, almost two-thirds of the nearly 1000 dogs, and 80% of the nearly 1500 cats that PETA brought into its shelter were killed.  Those numbers are actually an improvement from 2005 to 2012, where 90% to 97.3% of animals were put down.So zealous is PETA to murder animals that it stole a 9-year-old’s pet Chihuahua because they...

In 2001, Colorado electricity consumers enjoyed some of the lowest electric rates in the country. The 15 years since haven’t been so kind to ratepayers. For more than a decade, elected officials, PUC commissioners, industry and advocates have told Colorado ratepayers that they could transform the state’s electricity generation away from coal and toward industrial wind, solar and natural gas with little cost to ratepayers. However, the actual numbers tell a much different story. Colorado electricity rates have risen sharply – 62.1 percent – across residential, commercial and industrial sectors, despite a slight decrease in recent years. Colorado electricity rates...

What would the world do without PETA, who always tackles the important issues? Leading up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, the radical anti-humans at PETA now advocate for "silent fireworks" because traditional fireworks scar dogs emotionally. According to LA Weekly, they "want to see silent fireworks, or possibly even a Summer Games without fireworks at all, so that animals aren't traumatized by the simulation of artillery." "We have seen success with silent fireworks," says PETA's associate director of online marketing, Kate Tuggle. "Silent fireworks are generally more colorful."

From the same people who declared that milk was a symbol of white supremacy comes this blisteringly-hot take: cheese is the most sexist food there is, cows are regularly raped on farms, and the act of eating cheese is failing to combat sexism. "Contrary to popular belief," explains PETA, cows only produce milk when they're pregnant or have just given birth. In order to keep producing milk, PETA describes how cows are "raped" to become pregnant again and again and how their calves are treated immediately after birth.
