Florida today wont let me post the article here, link below, but its very clear that Buzz supports Bush. Neil Armstrong also supports the Bush space policy. Kerry released a "space policy" today. It was merely a few paragraphs, bashed Bush basically and didnt even mention the shuttle, space station or returning to the moon. Visionless, just like Kerry. http://www.floridatoday.com/!NEWSROOM/localstoryN1024BUSHMAIN0.htm

I caught the tail end of this. Trying to find a transcript of the whole thing? Anyone know where? Buzz Aldrin didnt look to happy with Emmerich. He said kids arent learning about "magnificent desolation" anymore the words he used to describe the moon during Apollo 11. They are learning "monumental deception". He talked about how teachers tell him they have a hard time competing with glitzy "conspiracy documentarys" saying we didn't go to the moon. "Former Astronaut Buzz Aldrin cautions people from propaganda in mainstream media, saying that these can sometimes be a disservice. He mentions, as an example,...

Apollo moonwalker Buzz Aldrin advises NASA to embrace China's emerging expertise in the human spaceflight arena as the Chinese prepare for a piloted launch that could occur next week. "We'd learn a little bit more about China's space plans if we extended a hand of welcome," said Aldrin, part of the Apollo 11 lunar expedition crew, with Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, that carried out the first landing mission of humans on the Moon in July 1969. The United States should consider rolling out the welcome mat for Chinese space flyers at the International Space Station, Aldrin says. Furthermore, it...

Depending on the opinion polls, there's a core of Apollo moon flight disbelievers within the United States--perhaps 10 percent of the population, and up to twice as large in specific demographic groups. Overseas the results are similar, fanned by local attitudes toward the U.S. in general and technology in particular. Some religious fundamentalists--Hare Krishna cultists and some extreme Islamic mullahs, for example--declare the theological impossibility of human trips to other worlds in space. Resentment of American cultural and political dominance clearly fuels other "disbelievers," including those political groups who had been hoping for a different outcome to the Space Race--for...

Beverly Hills police said they are investigating a complaint that Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin struck a man in the face Monday after the man asked Aldrin to swear on a Bible that he had been to the moon.

Bart Sibrel, a man who claims that man never set foot on the moon, also claims that famous Apollo astronaut Buzz Aldrin punched him in the jaw on Tuesday in Beverly Hills.

There's a small cottage industry of people who, like people who still believe that the earth is flat, or alternatively, that it's round but hollow, live in an alternate reality--one in which NASA was not capable of sending men to our sister orb in the 1960s. Unfortunately, it's not small enough. While just a few percent believe this, according to most polling, that still constitutes millions of people deluding themselves about what many consider the greatest achievement of the 20th century, and perhaps in history to date.
