MORE WINNING!!! The normally activist 9th Circuit just issued a ruling that affirms the 2nd Amendment protections of the right of gun owners to carry guns in public, reversing a ruling by a Hawaii district court! Elections have consequences. One of the levers of power in the executive branch is the ability to settle lawsuits. Trump era officials in the Department of Justice have agreed to settle a lawsuit meant to stop an egregious violation of First and Second Amendment rights. Cody Wilson and Defense Distributed published computer code that enabled people with 3D printers to print a crude single shot pistol and parts of semi-automatic rifles. The Federal government ordered Defense Distributed to stop distribution of the computer code. Cody Wilson and Defense Distributed complied, and filed a lawsuit, with the help of the...

It’s not just the wrongly decided Roe V. Wade decision that liberals fear is in jeopardy with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. They also fear their crusade against “semi-automatic” weapons may be exposed as the semantic, visual, and judicial fraud that it is: "If you care about common sense gun violence protection, Judge Kavanaugh is your worst nightmare. If you want background checks, a ban on assault weapons, or any of the other common sense measures that we have in Connecticut, or California or New York, Judge Kavanaugh will strike them down." said Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Connecticut, who used to...

Conservative students in at least 13 cities across the country rallied for gun rights on Saturday in an attempt to counter months of protests from the student-led March For Our Lives gun control movement. Organizers with the March for Our Rights planned rallies in Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., among other cities, on Saturday, expecting modest turnout compared to the large-scale marches earlier this year in favor of tougher gun restrictions. Newsweek reported about 250 people were attending the California rally. Speakers at Saturday's events in Washington included NRATV host Cam Edwards. Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh spoke at...

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire from the highest U.S. court, giving President Donald Trump another chance to fundamentally reshape the top of the judiciary. In a letter to Trump dated Wednesday, Kennedy said he would step down. "For a member of the legal profession, it is the highest of honors to serve on this Court," he wrote. "Please permit me by this letter to express my profound gratitude for having had the privilege to seek in each case how best to know, interpret and defend the Constitution and the laws that must always conform to its mandates and...

OK, I know what you're thinking - you're obviously skeptical of a proposal like this coming from a Conservative who claims to respect the 2nd Amendment. Bear with me, though. I could throw out stats like actual numbers trying to tie gun ownership to violent crime. I could trot out the CDC's own study regarding the use of guns for crime versus self defense. How about the lies that the gun grabbers like to use? Or maybe the many areas where the government broke down prior to and during the Parkland shooting? Even the Santa Fe shooter, while not obvious at first,...

Last week's “March For Our Lives," which has now transformed into all-out anti-gun, anti-2nd amendment and anti-Trump movement took place in cities all across the country and funded by anti-gun left wing organizations, it became a debacle that did not need to occur. Ostensibly created by the Parkland school youth it is now working with adults from groups like March for Women Live Action Fund, MoveOn.org, The Giffords group, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and of course Everytown, Bloomberg's gun confiscation group who have spewed lies throughout the time since the Parkland shooting. And who can explain...

Idiot "meme"/sign of the day: A "Pulitzer"?! Puh-leaze... Whoever made that sign just went full-blown retard. Okay, first of all, the right to bear peanut butter doesn't appear in our Constitution. Second, aren't schools already "gun-free zones"? Meaning, kids are already restricted from bringing loaded guns to school? Hell, in some schools they can't even make the shape of a gun out of pop tarts without getting suspended. The only way to stop a bad guy with a peanut allergy is with peanut butter, anyway, right? Well...I guess you could use other means that won't bring harm to other innocent...

PJ Media previously reported on the story of a 17-year-old high school student from Farmington, Conn., who was originally blocked from participating in a school assembly on March 14 where she had planned to present her conservative and pro-Second Amendment views. Thanks to the attention her story received, the student, Ashley Dummit, was eventually able to participate, and gave a speech at the assembly in defense of Second Amendment rights. In fact, she ended up being the only speaker at the assembly. Unfortunately, not all incidents involving pro-Second Amendment students have ended so well. Another high school student, 17-year-old Christian...

So a month ago on February 14th was the Parkland shooting. Today, students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida and students from all across the States are participating in a walkout as an act of protest against gun violence, for "nothing being done"; and as an act of "support" for the 17 killed. In wake of the shootings, social media was like an ant hill that had been kicked over, with the anti-gun nuts going ballistic (as they always do), lamenting about AR-15s, gun violence, politicians "bought" off by the NRA, ridiculing "thoughts and prayers", and bringing out...

Today, Governor Rick Scott, the Florida Senate and the Florida House announced their respective plans to stop future mass shooters in our schools. There are components of the plan that we should all support. Hardening our schools, putting law enforcement in all schools when students are present, training volunteer teachers to use guns and protect children, keeping guns out of the hands of the dangerously mentally ill, and allowing law enforcement and administrators to deal with people who are a danger to themselves or others, are all things that need to be done. Unfortunately, there are gun control measures being...

I argue for a living. I often deal with hacks, liars, and agenda-driven fanatics. But never in a quarter century of being in court rooms have I faced such a blizzard of constitutional illiteracy, technical ignorance, flabby reasoning, and outright lies as I have dealing with people who think our Second Amendment rights are up for debate. Our rights are not up for debate. But, as a courtesy, because talking is the way a free people should endeavor to solve problems, we should debate them anyway. Rational discussion beats the alternative – many of us are vets who saw the alternative...

The bodies in Texas weren't cold when the moronic Senators from my state of CT- Murphy and Blumenthal- were already politicizing the tragedy. Both of these tools called for "common sense" gun control measures as if none existed today. Further, they failed to mention what these simple "common sense" measures are, but then again they never do. So let me offer an outline for more gun control. Let us assume that democrats will be calling for another ban on assault weapons, or anything that looks like an assault weapon or just looks plain scary, toys included. Such a plan would...

Former Netflix talk show host Chelsea Handler took to social media Sunday to blame Republicans for the deadly shooting at a Sutherland Springs, Texas, church that claimed the lives of at least 24 people. The 42-year-old Chelsea host was among several celebrities to tweet about the attack as information was still being gathered, including the number of dead and the identity of the gunman. “Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed[sic],” Handler tweeted. “What country? America. Why? Republicans.” Initial reports about the shooting at the Texas church placed...

“We are witnesses to the most ruthless attack on a president…” exclaims Conservative political commentator and generally terrifying person Dana Loesch in a new Twitter video ad by the National Rifle Association. The unflinching, nearly unblinking delivery of Dana’s hyperbole in the video is introduced by an ominous sub-frequency and intercut with clips of the various ‘enemies’ and ‘saboteurs’ of the President and by Dana’s/the NRA’s logic, America. The thing that’s seemingly implied in the video is that gun-owners and NRA members are the last line of defense for America’s most sacred institutions and more importantly—of course—the Trump presidency.

Congressional Democrats chose not to wait for all the facts to come in before immediately pushing for increased gun control measures following the Las Vegas shooting Sunday night that left 50 people dead and more than 400 injured. It’s not yet clear how the shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, acquired his guns or if gun control measures could have prevented him from obtaining them, but leading Democrats are already demanding stricter gun control legislation. Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy issued a statement Monday morning claiming that “the thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if they are paired with continued legislative...

In case you were not aware of it, the 4th circuit court ruled that the 2nd amendment does not apply to military appearing weapons. Now, this is a curious ruling in that [1] it applies constitutional standards that are not present (the appearance of a firearm), [2] a ruling of 10-4 in favor of this (heavily stacked by liberal progressive -socialists), [3] affects the 2nd amendment, [4] which the liberals say does not apply to individuals but to militias. What is not reported in the media (aside from just about everything regarding this) is that the 2nd amendment applies to...
