The 4th Circuit rules that Militias cannot use Military appearing weapons.

In case you were not aware of it, the 4th circuit court ruled that the 2nd amendment does not apply to military appearing weapons. Now, this is a curious ruling in that [1] it applies constitutional standards that are not present (the appearance of a firearm), [2] a ruling of 10-4 in favor of this (heavily stacked by liberal progressive -socialists), [3] affects the 2nd amendment, [4] which the liberals say does not apply to individuals but to militias.

What is not reported in the media (aside from just about everything regarding this) is that the 2nd amendment applies to both individuals and state militias. The point being that the ruling states that militias cannot have military grade weapons. Yet militias are para-military organizations.

WTF?

I see the USA as going through a transformation process.

Not only that the old political parties are being eviscerated and changed, but that the entire system needs to be overhauled and changed. Look, you have the 4th circuit court (staffed by Clinton and Obama appointees) ruling that state militias can’t use military style weapons. You have the 9th circuit court ruling that the President has no authority given to him by Congress unless non-Americans approve of his actions, and you have a bloated bureaucracy that controls everything in the lives of Americans, and they are unelected, and cannot be fired. WTF?

Things are changing, and it will get worse before it gets better.

So if this was cave man times, US citizens couldn’t use clubs, because clubs were weapons of war?

If it was the 1800’s, citizens could not possess muskets, because muskets were weapons of war?

Makes sense!

I remember the days when, even though I was STEM type, I respected the law.

No longer.

Lib lawyers are right out of Alice....words mean what they want them to mean.

This will NOT end well.

Especially for lib lawyers.

I guess a ballista collection is so much firewood since it was used by armies of ancient times.

Well, if/when it comes down to it...they’re going to find out that a lot (if not the majority) of us have things they don’t want us to have.

That will enable us to get things that we’ve never been able to have.

BUT.....if/when.....the Military is going to be on our side and we won’t need them anyway.

Forget the assault rifles, long range highly accurate bolt action rifles are the killing machines in an insurrection situation.

My favorite....and she’s beautiful. Chambered in 308...with plenty of match grade and surplus ammo to feed it.

Glass bedded stainless barrel, match grade chamber, Mauser extractor, hand checkering on some gorgeous A grade walnut. She wasn’t a cheap rifle, but the scope on her back cost me twice as much. I’d take her to a dance if one was being held.

She gets a bath and fresh oil every 3 months, then back to her blanket to rest.

Exactly. If every militiaman has a 30-06 hunting rifle...

...the Powers That Be will wish they "only" had M16A2s.

Those and .22 pistols for the close in work. Pop them in the head or gut with a .22 short. It changes his outlook on life for a while. It goes in and around and round, from bone to bone until it stops. Rarely does it go out through and through. And as a bonus, it doesn’t make much noise.

Impeach the 4th Circuit court!

Oh, wait. That would require Congress to do its Constitutional responsibility.

Never mind.

Private citizens have always had better personal weapons than the US Army up until 1956.
Army-Flintlock muzzle loader, Civilian -Rifle.
Army adopts muzzle loading rifle, Civilians had breach loaders.
Army adopts Breachloader, Civilians had tube fed rapid fire lever action rifles.
Army finally adopts a good bolt action rifle, Civilians had tube fed, slide action, lever action, bolt action, semi-auto rifles and were experimenting with full auto rifles.
1936-Army adopts a semi-auto rifle. Civilians already had them for forty years.
1956 Army adopts a select fire rifle, something a civilian cannot have.
Now suddenly the government is afraid of Civilians with imitation military rifles.
