At an event today in Spokane, Washington, Bill Clinton called for putting "the awful legacy of the last 8 years behind us and the 7 years before that where we were practicing trickle down economics." "I literally from the time I met her 45 years ago until we talked yesterday, she is the best change maker I have ever known. She always finds a way to make something good happen, to make people feel empowered, to buy people into the process, to make democracy work the way the framers intended for it to work. Now if you don’t believe we...

Jeff Sessions (Ala.), counseling him on foreign affairs and helping to shape his policies.

Donald Trump revealed at the 43 minutes and 38 seconds mark in this video of "Donald Trump FULL Speech at Palm Beach County GOP Lincoln Day dinner (3-20-16)" that he would put out a list of 5 to 10 judges he will nominate to the SCOTUS.

Judge Merrick Garland, Barack Obama's choice to be the next justice on the Supreme Court, ruled against Priests for Life in a case involving the HHS mandate. He also gave ObamaCare subsidies a second chance at life in a separate case. The two rulings give a window into the philosophy of Judge Garland, whom the National Organization for Women referred to as a “cipher” with little paper trail on issues related to abortion or other feminist concerns. ObamaCare's HHS mandate opt-out does not violate the Constitution Priests for Life sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) over...

Watever else you might say about him, Donald Trump is one of the great branders of our age. And what he’s accomplished over the nine months since he took that now-notorious ride down the Trump Tower escalator is plainly his life’s masterwork: his rebranding of the GOP in his own image. The Trump Organization is a global trademarking factory; among the 515 corporations, trusts, limited liability companies and other entities listed on Trump’s Federal Election Commission disclosure are scores of buildings, golf courses, products and other things from Baku to Dubai listed as “Trump Marks” (as in trademarks) entities. For...

To the extent it’s still standing after yesterday, the Stop Trump movement is comforting itself with the world’s biggest lie: that John Kasich is the embodiment of the Republican Party, while Donald Trump is the bastard stepchild. It’s exactly the opposite. It is no longer a question of what the party wants. The voters — remember them? — keep showering Trump and Cruz with Ceausescu-like percentages. The combined vote for Trump and Cruz is a ringing chorus of what this party wants: a wall, deportation, less immigration and no job-killing trade deals. In other words, what the party wants is...

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is targeting Hillary Clinton in a new ad, portraying the Democratic presidential candidate as not tough enough to handle major foreign policy issues. A 15-second video posted to Trump's Instagram account shows Russian President Vladimir Putin showing off his martial arts skills and a masked militant pointing a gun at the camera. "When it comes to facing our toughest opponents, the Democrats have the perfect answer," the video says, cutting to a clip of Clinton barking like a dog last month when she taunted Republicans. Putin cracks up in Trump's video before text appears back...

Oh, well, if Hillary kills off what’s left of the coal industry, at least we still have a booming natural gas industry, creating lots of good-paying jobs and with a potential for significant exports to help with our miserable trade balance. Wait, what’s that? U.S. Rejects Multi-Billion Dollar Jordan Cove Gas Export Plan U.S. regulators rejected Veresen Inc.’s multibillion-dollar proposal to build a terminal in Oregon that would export as many as two tankers of natural gas a week. They also denied its plan to build a pipeline with Williams Partners LP to supply gas to the terminal. Williams and...

Violence broke out over the weekend at several Donald Trump campaign rallies. Leftwing thugs battled with police in Chicago and St. Louis. One unhinged lunatic tried to storm the stage at a rally in Dayton, Ohio. He was stopped by Secret Service agents. Heaven only knows what he would’ve done had he gotten a hold of Mr. Trump. To be clear – what happened over the weekend was not just an attack on Mr. Trump. It was an attack on the First Amendment. But instead of condemning the professional hooligans -- the political chattering class condemned Mr. Trump. A despondent...

And, the liberal zombies sat there and nodded in agreement. Hillary Clinton bragged during her CNN town hall in Ohio that she’s going to put a lot of coal miners out of work. It should be no surprise that the Republican Party carries working class districts in America by a 2-1 margin. And working Middle Class Americans support Donald Trump.

Less than a decade ago, the world economy sank into the Great Recession: the deepest and most widespread downturn since the Great Depression of the 1920s and '30s. Since the stock market crashed in 2008, recovery has been long and slow, marked by persistent bumps in the road along the way. Nonetheless, an economic recovery has, indeed, taken place. The S&P 500 index rose more than 92% over the past five years until market volatility kicked in during the second half of 2015. So far in 2016, the S&P 500 is down almost 9% since the start of the year....

Free trade is again under attack, despite having been, for over a century, the basis of America's wealth. Some groups in the United States blame free trade for the loss of manufacturing jobs, while others blame it for exposing some U.S. producers to foreign competition. Free trade, however, is good for America, and for a very simple reason: It allows American workers to specialize in goods and services that they produce more efficiently than the rest of the world and then to exchange them for goods and services that other countries produce at higher quality and lower cost. Specialization and...

Ohio lost 112,500 jobs in 2015 resulting from the United States' trade deficit with countries that are part of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, according to an analysis by the Economic Policy Institute. That places Ohio sixth, in terms of the percentage of jobs lost to trade with TPP countries, among the 50 states and the District of Columbia ranked in the report released Thursday by the liberal Washington, D.C.-based think tank. The lost jobs represent nearly 2.2 percent of employment in Ohio, according to the analysis. The total number of lost jobs includes those directly and indirectly impacted by the...

This week former Republican Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma jumped into the “Why is Trump winning?” contest and immediately moved to the lead among establishment Republicans.Coburn’s attack on Donald Trump for his comments on Islam bumped the government of Mexico to number two and the Pope to three. Former presidential candidate Jeb Bush appears to have a lock on fourth place. Coburn’s little spit wad of venomous outrage illustrates perfectly why millions of grassroots Republicans have given up on the Republican Party’s “leaders” and turned to Donald Trump.Coburn joined the “blame America first” club by blaming America’s “recent behavior” for...

Are we be better off today with the thousands of U.S. factories that have shut down and millions of American jobs lost and the trillions in accumulated debt that we've run up in the last couple decades of free trade? And, of course, this is due to many factors including such things as: Big government Regulations High taxes Unions driving up costs Cheap labor overseas Fewer regulations overseas Lower taxes overseas Trade deficits etc., And doubly exasperated by poor trade deals? Or is this all a myth? Are we better off with cheaper foreign (cheap) goods, fewer U.S. factories, fewer...

Almost every time Donald Trump mentioned free trade or protecting American workers from low-paid foreign competition this weekend in Illinois and Ohio, he was interrupted by protesters. Last week, following Bernie Sanders' victory over Hillary Clinton in the Michigan Democratic primaries, CNN analyst Jan Jones said that, "an anti-free trade message is breaking through in the rust belt," and that it is "not good" for Hillary Clinton. Trump also won the Michigan primary with a strong anti-NAFTA message. "Right here [in Cleveland]," Trump said Saturday. "We've got on the left, you have Ford, the Ford Foundry," Trump said. "And...

On Thursday, House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters that Donald Trump’s nomination would help Republicans running for office, not hurt them. McCarthy cited the fact that turnout in the first nine presidential primaries had risen this year from 2008, while Democratic turnout had declined. McCarthy used the example of the 7th District, where Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones is challenging two-term Democrat Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA), telling to the Sacramento Bee, “I have big hopes that that one is going to be very competitive.” Jones has made immigration one of his top issues: last October, after an...

Bernie Sanders, the Senator representing the socialist paradise of Vermont, has apparently never seen a poor white person. This is understandable since about 1% of the state's population is black. But Sanders considers himself an expert on the racial divide in poverty. And at last night's debate with Hillary Clinton, the Senator expounded on his theories of race and poverty. Daily Caller: During the CNN Democratic debate Thursday night Sen. Bernie Sanders claimed that if someone was white they don’t know what it’s like to be poor or live in a ghetto. “When you’re white you don’t know what...
