Tensions continued early on Thursday in Minneapolis, as protesters clashed in the streets with law enforcement, following a second shooting in about a week involving an Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The Department of Homeland Security said a federal law enforcement officer shot a person, who they say had fled a traffic stop and then, along with two other people, began attacking the officer. That shooting followed the fatal shooting of Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother, on Jan. 7. DHS officials said Good was allegedly attempting to run over law enforcement officers when an ICE officer fatally shot her -- a...

President Trump may very well have ended twenty-six years of communist dictatorship in Venezuela. By cutting off Venezuelan oil and economic relief to Cuba, there’s a chance that sixty-seven years of communist dictatorship will soon come to an end in Castro’s Caribbean prison, too. Right now Iran’s Islamic dictatorship is teetering and showing signs of potential collapse — forty-seven years after Jimmy Carter’s foreign policy “boys” allowed theocratic tyrants to take the strategically pivotal country before also taking fifty-two Americans hostage for four hundred and forty-four days. Finally, the European Union now realizes that President Trump is serious about keeping...

Can Trump finally bring the gravy train to a screeching halt? During the Biden years, as inflation soared, Jerome Powell somehow said that inflation was transitory: Powell flirts again with a dangerous way to describe inflation: ‘Transitory’A fraught word resurfaced in the Federal Reserve’s lexicon again this week: ‘transitory.’ Yet somehow, he never blamed Biden’s energy policies (hundreds of billions in subsidies), open borders (hundreds of billions for various programs for illegals), or bureaucratic regulations, which all directly contributed to massive amounts spending, which in turn, created inflation when the Fed created the dollars needed for the bill. One of...

Boeing warned plane owners in 2011 about a broken part that contributed to a UPS plane crash that killed 15 last year but at that point the plane manufacturer didn’t believe it threatened safety, the National Transportation Safety Board said Wednesday. The explosion of the budget deficit was one of the most worrisome things that happened post-Covid. While inflation peaked in 2022, the deficit kept getting worse because of the “fiscal doom loop” caused by bloated spending and higher interest rates. At this time last year things were still looking extremely grim. The deficit was stuck around $2.1 trillion on a rolling 12-month basis, or 7.3% of GDP--the largest non-emergency deficit we’ve ever had. And the10-year Treasury yield was stuck above 4.7%, worsening the situation daily. Now, though, we are experiencing a dramatic improvement. The latest numbers which we got yesterday...

Renee Good’s former father-in-law, Timmy Macklin Sr., urged Americans to turn to God and love one another when asked by CNN about her death. He said he did not blame Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for what happened, but suggested that the country’s drift away from faith played a role, noting that if Renee had embraced God, she might not have ended up in the situation that led to her death a week ago.

Verma first corrected Moody, saying "Dr. Verma," before responding to the question with "Um, I mean..." and smiling without answering properly. Senator Josh Hawley took up the question and asked Verma again, "Dr. Verma, I wasn't sure I understood your answer to Sen. Moody a moment ago, do you think that...

The US and the UK issued warnings on Thursday against travel to Israel, as tensions spiraled over the Iranian regime’s lethal crackdown on protests in the country and amid indications an American strike on the Islamic Republic could be imminent. With thousands now reported dead, US military action has for several days been seen as imminent. Iran has threatened that if the US attacks, it will target Israel as well as US bases in the region.
