Asenior Federal Drug Administration official responsible for a controversial pause of a muscular dystrophy gene therapy abruptly resigned after the incident, reportedly under pressure from the White House. The official, Dr. Vinay Prasad, who was the head of the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, faced specific criticisms for his past support of progressive candidates and disagreements with signature Trump positions, like right-to-try and federal deregulation. The FDA’s initial decision to freeze distribution of the therapy, marketed as Elevidys, following at least three patient deaths potentially connected to the therapy, also raised alarms with advocates for muscular dystrophy patients...

Sure, the calendar may still read "2025," but the 2028 presidential primary season will be here before you know it. While big names like Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez grab all the headlines, there are other Democratic candidates making waves behind the scenes. The Babylon Bee has obtained the following list of frontrunners for the 2028 Democratic nomination: 1. Hunter Biden: The perfect heir to the family legacy, only with more F-words and crack. 2. Kilmar Abrego Garcia: Few candidates have been able to build as much support among the Democratic base as this wife-beating illegal immigrant. 3....

The split screen of the media features Goebbelsian lies about the Jewish State directly sourced from Hamas, a Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group originally started with backing from the Nazis, and complaints that a jeans ad from American Eagle, a Jewish company, is really Nazi propaganda. The manufactured controversy over the American Eagle ads is the kind of academic cultural wokeness that the Left had been trying to get away from, but obviously couldn’t leave behind, and the endless reprocessing of it in media thinkpieces is also a hypocritical way of showcasing the same ads that the media condemns. The whole...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus said to his disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matthew 13:44Today’s Gospel presents us with two very short and similar parables. In the first, quoted above, the Kingdom of Heaven is likened to a “treasure.” In the second parable, the Kingdom of Heaven is likened to a “pearl of great price.” Though these parables are very similar to each other, there are also subtle differences worth...

Most mainstream media outlets have made it clear in recent years where their loyalties lie regarding the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. But while rational observers can disagree about how both sides have reacted in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack, the use of misleading photos to manipulate the narrative should never be deemed acceptable. That’s what the New York Times essentially admitted it did with a photo originally presented as a severely malnourished child in Gaza. A little legwork by a watchdog group called Honest Reporting helped expose the misrepresentation, as Breitbart reported: The New York Times admitted...

LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) – The Lorain County sheriff confirmed to the FOX 8 I-Team that detectives are investigating harassing phone calls and threatening messages aimed at police following last week’s gunfire that left an officer dead, two officers hurt and a suspect dead. Just hours after the shootings, one man called 911 again and again asking questions and taunting. “I could also show up to your front door,” the man told the dispatcher. “I don’t carry a gun. I’m not a — like you.” Public memorial set for slain Lorain police officer Phillip Wagner Wednesday in Cleveland One dispatcher told...

Rule changes and an aggressive new timeline on how Colorado can use its $826.5 million in federal broadband dollars had local internet providers scrambling this month. All had to reapply for grants to subsidize new internet infrastructure for underserved rural communities — including ISPs who had already received preliminary approvals.

This was the (top part of) front page of the New York Times on July 25 featuring what appears to be a starving, emaciated Gaza child.I just went through the front pages of the New York Times for the past 365 days. Not once has it positioned a photo in this extraordinary way.Usually the NYT will feature a photo that is four columns wide, and that photo is always wider than it is tall (landscape). For example, here is the front page from yesterday, illustrating the mass shooting in Manhattan.Once every couple of months it has a feature photo that...

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR) have dropped a political nuke on Washington: Smoking-gun thumb drives containing unreviewed evidence in the Hillary Clinton email scandal have been sitting in an FBI office collecting dust for over SIX YEARS. The letter, addressed directly to FBI Director Kash Patel, demands that the unevaluated materials — which include sensitive intelligence, foreign communications, and damning evidence related to the Clinton Foundation and Barack Obama — be immediately reviewed and exposed to the American people. “Thumb drives containing unreviewed info on the Clinton...

The U.S. Air Force’s plan to buy “at least 185” F-47 sixth-generation fighters is “dangerously delusional” and inadequate for a future war. To maintain air dominance against peer competitors like China, the U.S. needs a fleet of at least 400-500 F-47s. The current plan repeats the historic mistake made with the F-22 Raptor, where a small, boutique fleet was procured that proved insufficient for global demands.

Following a three-week trail at Liverpool Crown Court, Amaaz was convicted of assaulting PC Lydia Ward, causing actual bodily harm, and the assault of emergency worker PC Ellie Cook. The jury was unable to reach verdicts on allegations that Amaaz and his brother, Muhammad Ahmed, 26, assaulted...

As the right-wing populist AfD surges in the polls, parts of the Left appear to be going off the rocker. Jette NietzardAs we already reported, Jette Nietzard, national spokesperson of the Green Youth Party, has hinted at the possibility of armed resistance if Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) manages to enter government after the 2029 federal elections. Her statements, made in a podcast by the public broadcaster RBB and repeated in an interview with the weekly Freitag, have sparked outrage due to their political and social implications. “Will that resistance be intellectual or perhaps armed?” Nietzard asked during the ‘Freitag Salon’event...

Anybody here know if there is such a thing as a VARIABLE nut driver? I am working on my car - 2016 Ford Escape. It has METRIC nuts. I have some "standard" nut drivers, but none of them fits exactly. I also see SETS of nut drivers, but I don't do that much work on my car. So I don't want a bunch of tools lying around. Is there such a thing as a variable nut driver? If so, what and where can I get it? Thanks, Froggy

Unconditional American support for Israel — once the bedrock of conservative foreign policy — is crumbling in real time. From Congress to right-wing media and Trump-aligned grassroots organizations, a new tone is taking shape towards Israel: one of skepticism, impatience and in some cases outright hostility. The Republican Party’s old covenant with Israel is no longer sacred — and the cracks are widening fast. In the mid-20th century, Republicans were generally skeptical of Israel, instead favoring Arab ties. Support grew later, driven by Cold War strategy, evangelical Zionism, neoconservatism and post-9/11 alliances — ultimately transforming the GOP into Israel’s most...
