Wyoming legislators on Tuesday failed to advance a bill barring so-called crossover voting in state primaries, a measure former President Trump backed as he pushes voters to oust one of his most vocal Republican critics, Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.). The bill would have prohibited voters from changing their party registration on primary Election Day, barring last-minute changes that would allow them to choose the party primary in which they wanted to participate. Supporters of the bill said making the change would prevent Democrats or independent voters from casting a ballot in the Republican primary - presumably, voters who would be...

A U.S. digital currency could be on the horizon. The Biden administration is putting its support behind the research and development of a “U.S. Central Bank Digital Currency,” or CBDC. The move is part of a sweeping executive order President Joe Biden signed Wednesday instructing the federal government to explore possible uses of and regulations for digital assets like cryptocurrencies. "My Administration places the highest urgency on research and development efforts into the potential design and deployment options of a United States CBDC," the executive order reads. The order asks for a wide variety of agencies to begin research and...

History shows we could be nearing the end of the stock market's 2022 correction. "The current correction in stocks is overdue: we have not had a 10%+ S&P 500 correction since the quick bear market of March 2020. 10%+ corrections have occurred once per year on average since 1930, and have lasted on average 54 trading days before lifting more than 10% from the trough (since January 3, the market has dropped 13% as of Wednesday's low and Thursday is the 45th trading day)," pointed out Bank of America strategist Savita Subramanian. Despite the compelling history lesson (which suggests we...

CTV news in Canada has apologized for showing a picture of two ostensibly brave and honorable female soldiers, who were in fact wearing neo-nazi satanic symbols that weren’t identified as such until after the pictures were published. Why apologize for showing these Ukrainian soldiers for who they are? This image seems to have been similarly scrubbed by other media outlets because it is an inconvenient truth. Oliver Stone produced a full length “Ukraine on Fire” documentary in 2016 detailing the Nazi roots and evil deeds of Western Ukraine as it oppressed Eastern Ukraine. I know Stone is a biased Putinista...

Washington – Ranking Member Jim Jordan sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray following a new whistleblower disclosure from a senior FBI special agent concerning the investigation into the pipe bombs placed near the headquarters of the DNC and RNC on January 5, 2021. According to the special agent, on February 7, 2022—over a year after the placement of the bombs—the FBI’s Washington Field Office asked FBI field offices to canvass all confidential human sources nationwide for information about the individual and the crime. In part, the message asked that the canvass “include sources reporting on all types of...

It was obviously a tough pill -- or shall we say nut -- for Joe Scarborough to swallow. On Wednesday's Morning Joe, the Trump hater par excellence grudgingly admitted that as president, Donald Trump got it right when he chided Angela Merkel over Germany's dependence on Russian oil. Although Scarborough spoke of "oil," Trump's key concern was Merkel's agreeing to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, bringing Russian gas, not oil. Here's a 2018 Reuters article quoting Trump saying the gas pipeline deal made Germany "a captive to Russia.

From Jennifer Griffin’s own Social Media Posts: “Greg and the girls and I just returned from Vice President Biden's house where he and his wife Jill hosted the launch for the Komen Race tonight. It was a lovely tented affair at the Naval Observatory. We walked there. The kids had their picture taken with Joe - I told them not to call him Joe. They ate hot dogs (some things haven't changed). I ate cole slaw and string beans. Amelia introduced herself to Mrs. Obama's mother, who was gracious enough to tell her that she would tell Malia and Sasha...

(CNN)As US oil and gasoline prices skyrocket, politicians in both parties have called for a seemingly easy solution: Drill our way out of the problem to ease prices at the pump and supply additional energy to Europe. "The president must end his war on American energy," Republican Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming said in a recent statement. "Republicans have been demanding the administration take the shackles off American energy producers since President Biden took office. We have the energy at home and we must use it." But the US is already the world's top producer of crude oil, producing about...

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee insists that "the continuation of my rule by emergency decree is necessary to prevent a coup by Trump and his right-wing extremist supporters. Only by ensuring that dictatorial powers remain in the hands of enlightened progressives like myself can democracy be saved from overthrow." Inslee cited "Trump's encouragement of the development of covid vaccines via Operation Warp Speed is a prime example of the threat to democracy he poses. Sure, he helped make vaccines available, but he didn't force everyone to get vaccinated. That task was left to the Democratic president who succeeded him. Eighty-one million...

There was previously no known connection between the special counsel and the government’s investigation into the 2016 Democratic National Committee hack. The U.S. Department of Defense tasked the same Georgia Tech researcher embroiled in the Alfa Bank hoax with investigating the “origins” of the Democratic National Committee hacker, according to an email first obtained by The Federalist on Wednesday. That email also indicates the special counsel’s office is investigating the investigation into the DNC hack and that prosecutors harbor concerns about the DOD’s decision to involve the Georgia Tech researcher in its probe. The special counsel branded this person “Researcher-1”...

Iuliia Mendel, a former press secretary to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, tweeted Thursday it would be a “tragedy” if Vice President Kamala Harris were to become president. Mendel Mendel was quote-tweeting a video clip of Harris’s press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda on Thursday, where the vice president laughed when asked a question about Ukrainian refugees. Mendel apparently later deleted her tweet. Here is a screenshot:

Vice President Kamala Harris awkwardly laughed Thursday when asked about the Ukrainian refugee crisis during a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw. During her trip to Poland, a reporter asked Harris what the United States would be doing to set up a permanent infrastructure for accepting Ukrainian refugees fleeing Ukraine due to the Russian invasion. The reporter also asked Duda whether he's asked the U.S. to accept more refugees, after which Harris started laughing.
