Joe Biden called Lester Holt a 'wise guy' during a TV interview on Thursday after the he asked him for his definition of 'temporary' on the day inflation showed no sign of slowing and instead hit a 40-year high. "I think it was back in July, you said inflation was going to be temporary," said Holt. "I think a lot of Americans are wondering what your definition of temporary is." Biden smiled as he pushed back: "Well, you're being a wise guy with me a little bit. I understand, that's your job." The issue has sent Biden's approval ratings plunging...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden is expected to issue an executive order on Friday to move some $7 billion of the Afghan central bank’s assets frozen in the U.S. banking system to fund humanitarian relief in Afghanistan and compensate victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, according to a U.S. official familiar with the decision. The order will require U.S. financial institutions to facilitate access to $3.5 billion of assets for Afghan relief and basic needs. The other $3.5 billion would remain in the United States and be used to fund ongoing litigation by U.S. victims of terrorism, the...

On February 2, 2022, the Georgia Senate Committee on the Judiciary voted 6-3 to pass SB 319, the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act. SB 319 now goes to the full Senate for a vote. 31 of 56 Georgia State Senators have signed on as sponsors of the bill. It seems likely the full Senate will vote in favor of the measure. There is a similar measure in the Georgia House; HB2. The Bill was filed last year but was not acted on. A committee vote has not been taken on the House bill, either last year or this year. HB 2 currently...

Here in the mostly-deep-blue Northeast of the U.S., our genius politicians of the Democratic persuasion have determined to save the world — no, make that the “planet” — by greatly increasing the local voters’ cost of energy. This is the punishment you must bear to atone for your horrible sin of living a comfortable modern lifestyle. If you live in the Northeast, the mechanism of making you suffer goes under the name of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, or RGGI. The members of RGGI are all six New England states, plus New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Pennsylvania...

Masks were necessary, especially in schools, to prevent mass deaths. Or so we were told, at great and tedious length -- until suddenly, in the last 10 days, they weren't. The Democratic governors of Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut and California followed the lead of the newly installed Republican governor of Virginia and revoked mask mandates. Or until, if I may say so, my Washington Examiner column last week titled "Returning to normalcy on school masks." Let's pivot now to another subject on which liberal commentators were raising alarms. Getting rid of gerrymandering, they claimed, was necessary to preserve democracy and...

NASA’s Parker Solar Probe has taken its first visible light images of the surface of Venus from space. Smothered in thick clouds, Venus’ surface is usually shrouded from sight. But in two recent flybys of the planet, Parker used its Wide-Field Imager, or WISPR, to image the entire nightside in wavelengths of the visible spectrum – the type of light that the human eye can see – and extending into the near-infrared.

For months, the lawyer representing Kaleb Franks—one of six men charged with conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020—has produced some of the most detailed and damning reports to make a case for FBI entrapment. Defense attorneys last year discovered that at least a dozen FBI agents and informants were intimately involved in the abduction plot, brought to a dramatic conclusion in October 2020 when the men were arrested after an FBI informant drove them to meet an undercover FBI agent to buy materials for explosives. With the trial date just weeks away, the Justice Department’s case is...

My name is Robert Malone, and I am a United States-based Physician and Scientist. We all stand on the shoulders of giants. The simple truths are what matter most. Honest words, spoken from the heart, can change the world. We should not have politicized the public health response to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. And Justin Trudeau should have focused on managing the actual ground truth of COVID-19 instead of following the script provided to him by the leadership of the World Economic Forum. I am a physician and a scientist now, and I am highly trained and experienced in developing vaccines...

While the Biden administration's chaotic and inept withdrawal from Afghanistan was unfolding in August 2021, a suicide bomber murdered 13 American service members, and at least 170 Afghans, at the Abbey Gate outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport. It was one of the deadliest attacks on our troops in our 20 years in that nation. "Know this," resident Joe Biden said after the bombing. "We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay." This turned out to be face-saving political theater. Three days later, an air strike killed ten Afghans, seven of...

When one candidate “wins” three swing states by fewer than 50,000 votes, with serious problems verifying hundreds of thousands of those votes, that is not evidence of a free and fair election. nyone with half an ounce of integrity knows the manner in which the 2020 election was conducted was neither free nor fair. Never before in our nation’s history did we have a presidential election with so many safety measures that were deliberately ignored or willfully removed. And never have we had an election with so much early voting, and mail-in voting. All of this was made possible by...

Because America entered both world wars of the 20th century last, while all the other great powers bled one another, and because we outlasted the Soviet Empire in the Cold War, America emerged, in the term of President George H.W. Bush, as "the last superpower." We had it all. We were the "indispensable nation." We saw further into the future. We could impose our "benevolent global hegemony" on all mankind. And so it was that we set out to create a "new world order," plunging into successive wars in Iraq, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq again, Syria, Libya, Yemen. So doing,...

The real pandemic in this country is one of growing fascism from our so-called political Left. The far-Left Democratic Party doesn’t care about your essential freedoms—from speech and the free flow of ideas to freedom of assembly—particularly when those freedoms stand in the way of their pursuit of power. This is the party, after all, who opposed Abraham Lincoln and stood in the way of integration well into the 1960s. Where Democratic hatred of freedom has become glaringly apparent in recent times is with their obsession with COVID vaccine mandates and mask mandates, most especially for school-aged children. This “pandemic”...

As we race toward this fall's midterm elections, it is obvious to even cursory observers of our political landscape that Democrats are in for a shellacking. As of this writing, both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have job approval ratings that are underwater by double-digit margins. Even more ominous, the RealClearPolitics polling average for voters who have been recently asked about the direction of the country reveals an astonishing 37.5% margin in favor of the idea America is on the "wrong track." Put simply, voters can't stand Biden, hate Harris even more and emphatically think the country...

...“(Protesters) claiming they're not being racist or discriminatory actually are by tokenizing people in communities of colour to highlight this and other racist protests,” Chaudhry said. “The challenge I always have is in why we have a (hate) symbol visibly present at these protests if there are not any forms of bias or discrimination.” Some of the convoy’s organizers have a history of promoting white supremacist and racist views, Global News reports. The Canadian Anti-Hate Network has also documented some organizers’ past ties to far-right organizations.
