First Lady Melania Trump rocked gold embroidered pumps for a Saturday night date with President Trump at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., ignoring the fallout from late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s underhanded personal attacks. Mrs. Trump stepped out in an A-line black coat, a silhouette she has repeated during cold weather days, pairing the simplistic ensemble with a baroque, Versace-esque pair of black pumps that featured gold embroidery and a gold heel. The first lady, nor President Donald Trump, have spoken publicly since Kimmel mocked Mrs. Trump’s accent during his monologue last week. Kimmel released a statement on Sunday...

If you’ve ever been on a flight with a screaming baby, you know the strain and stress that just one infant can put on surrounding passengers. That’s led some airlines to institute certain kinds of “no kid” zones over the past several years — a controversial move that has dismayed young families as much as it’s thrilled business travelers. And in case you’re wondering, there doesn’t seem to be the stomach for a baby-ban zone on domestic routes in the United States. But it’s been popular among a select group of international carriers… Want a ‘no kid’ fly zone? Then...

Homeland Security began building a border wall in New Mexico on Monday, moving to replace vehicle barriers with a modern fence that will deter pedestrians attempting to cross in the remove desert west of El Paso. The 20-mile project has been on the books for some time and the contract was awarded Jan. 22, meaning it was finalized before the recent fight over border wall money in the new 2018 spending bill. But the administration says it wouldn’t have been built but for President Trump’s push for more border wall. “We need effective barriers to deny the entry of illegal...

Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced what he labeled “the excessive demonization of former Soviet dictator Josef Stalin. His methods may have been harsh by Western standards, but few can quibble with the results.” These “results” included the deaths of 15 million to 30 million Soviet citizens through executions, labor camps, avoidable famines and making the treaty with Germany that unleashed WW II. “Few critics take into account the poverty and backwardness of the country Stalin inherited,” Putin contended. “Bringing the Soviet Union into the modern era required sacrifices. The millions who died in the Gulag would have died eventually, regardless....

Amid backlash from many, including the movement’s founder, motivational speaker Tony Robbins has apologized for suggesting that some women are using the #MeToo movement to gain “significance” through “victimhood.” After all, how dare he have an opinion, let alone voice it? “At a recent Unleash the Power Within event in San Jose, my comments failed to reflect the respect I have for everything Tarana Burke and the #MeToo movement has achieved,” Robbins said in a message shared on Facebook. “‘I apologize for suggesting anything other than my profound admiration for the #MeToo movement.” Report Advertisement “Let me clearly say,” he...

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – An Oklahoma representative says that she has filed legislation this week that would increase the financial scrutiny given to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. House Bill 2530 would require the state auditor and inspector to perform an audit of the Turnpike Authority at least once every two years. “Taxpayers deserve to know where their hard-earned money is going,” Rep. Tess Teague said. “The Turnpike Authority has an annual budget of nearly $100 million, and lawmakers owe it to Oklahomans to track those dollars closely.” The legislation dictates that the audit will take no more than 90 days....

Four Ohio teenagers who pleaded guilty to murder and manslaughter charges after dropping a sandbag off of a highway overpass that killed a man have been given suspended sentences by the judge. The teens, all minors, were also ordered into a program at a treatment facility and given 30 hours of community service. CNN: "The youth treatment center is a lockdown facility in Toledo. The program runs six months, but there is no set time to release. The average youth spends eight months there," Lori Olender, juvenile division deputy chief for the Lucas County Prosecutor's Office, said in an email....

Forty years later, the story still seems hard to credit: In the summer of 1977, Capitol Hill was gripped by revelations of the CIA’s top-secret MK-Ultra mind control research program, targeting unsuspecting American citizens, in some cases by luring them to brothels to be fed LSD-laced cocktails. The blockbuster hearings that summer, chaired by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, and aided by a timely dump of intelligence documents, touched some of the country’s rawest nerves: the assassination of Kennedy's brothers, the possibility of mind-controlled "Manchurian candidates" and the increasing prominence of LSD and other hallucinogenic drugs across Western culture....

Russia is considering replacing the U.S. dollar in crude oil payments on deals with Turkey and Iran, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said as quoted by RT. According to Novak, “There is a common understanding that we need to move towards the use of national currencies in our settlements. There is a need for this, as well as the wish of the parties. This concerns both Turkey and Iran – we are considering an option of payment in national currencies with them. This requires certain adjustments in the financial, economic and banking sectors.” Iran, under threat of returning U.S. sanctions, two...

OKLAHOMA CITY - Thousands of gallons of water went pouring into the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority office Sunday. "A hundred thousand gallons of water had already spilled in the building," said Jack Damrill, communications director for the OTA. Damrill said cold temperatures caused the fire sprinkler system to burst. "It's just amazing. Water poured out of there in a short amount of time," Damrill said. The water didn't just stop on the main floor; it kept flowing through cracks and the ceiling, spilling through offices on the first floor. "We've had to relocate a couple of people to some different offices,"...

On Sunday afternoon, Jimmy Kimmel released a statement hoping to end his heated feud with Fox News host Sean Hannity. Their spat began when Hannity called Kimmel a “despicable disgrace” and an “ass clown” for mocking First Lady Melania Trump‘s accent last Monday night. Kimmel retaliated Thursday night by accusing Hannity of “having an erection” for President Trump. Hannity then launched a Twitter battle, coining the nickname “Harvey Weinstein Jr.” by invoking numerous clips from Kimmel’s time on The Man Show that depict his not-so-flattering treatment of women as well as a clip of him donning blackface when impersonating pro...

Patrick Reed had two putts for par, two putts on the 18th green, two putts to win the Masters. He was sitting at 15-under, he had held Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and everyone else off for going on three days. He was 24 feet away with an opportunity to lag it, then tap it, then slip on a green jacket. The throng around the 18th here at Augusta National sat politely but when his first putt slipped by the hole leaving him a slightly tricky 4-footer, they began a murmur that built into a consensus, not of dread that he...
