Dearest Oxford, I am so sorry to hear this. I weep with you and will pray for you and your family. Please check your freepermail. I'll continue my post there. God bless you, keep you, and hold you in the palm of his hand as He surely is holding Michael safe and secure in his loving arms.

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. There are no words to console at such a time. Many prayers will go up today for you and your wife. May God give you the strength to get through these awful days.

OH, Oxford, may heart is breaking for you and your family.
May God wrap his arms of protection and love around your family at this time of trauma in your lives. Remember He picks you up and carries you through these times, and sometimes we are not even aware of it.
I recently went to a funeral of a young lady, engaged and on an Engaged Encounter weekend with her fiancee, who died during the weekend. Has your doctor checked out myocarditis -- I know I don't have the spelling or even the word right here, but it was a virus that attacks the heart and is very rare.

Click on my name to see my story.
I was unable to understand the "Why" of my husband's death at first, too.
Some books that were helpful to me were:
When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Rabbi Kirschner
On Death and Dying by Elsabeth Kubler-Ross
Without Thorns, It's Not a Rose by Father Jack Scott.
I don't know if the last book is still in print or not, but it is the one that actually pointed out a situation in Science that helped me to understand the "Why".
Also on my homepage is a reference to a grief-recovery weekend called Beginning Experience.
Give yourselves the time and space to grieve.......................it is so important.
And above all, prayer was the one thing that helped the most. Sometimes I would find myself praying every 5 minutes!
May the Lord, indeed, walk with you and your family during this difficult time in your life.

I don't know what to write to you. I cannot imagine a greater burden for you and your family to bear.
My children and I will (and have been since last night) remembering and devoting our prayers to you and your family.
Your innocent, beautiful Michael is in the arms of Jesus and Mary. God Bless you all and give you the strength to carry on.

O Lord who watches over children in the present life and in the world to come because of their simplicity and innocence of mind, abundantly satisfying them with a place in Abraham's bosom, bringing them to live in radiantly shining places where the spirits of the righteous dwell: receive in peace the soul of Your little servant Michael, for You Yourself have said, "Let the little children come to Me, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven." Amen.

You will be in our prayers. We have a son that just turned three as well, and I can only imagine how hard this is. My heart goes out to you.

Dear Oxford, I pray with all my heart that God's love will sustain you and your family through this terrible, terrible time. Just knowing your beloved boy is with Jesus doesn't lessen the pain of the loss to you.

You don't know me, buy my daughter passed away in 1992, so I felt a need to say something. My Amber's death almost destroyed my wife and I and our marraige. I was filled with hate towards my Lord Jesus Christ and the world in general for many years afterward. I cursed the name of Jesus unmercifully.
Please try not to react like I did. Lean on the Lord, your family and your congregation. My prayers are with you and your family.
