Lord Jesus we come to you today to worship you, thank you and pray for our nation.

Today for me is moving day, much work to be done for my sons, so I am a little late.

With all the unsettledness of this world and in the heavenlies, I stop to take a glimpse into the future you have promised us.

Like Abraham on his great journey of faith, we journey through life, not knowing what tomorrow will bring or how we will get there.

When I first became a Christian you gave me a dream of a beautiful city across a deep swift river.

In my spirit I knew that the only way to reach the city was by death.

The things of this earth seemed so dark and sad compared to the adventure of faith, like Abraham.

Lord you have prepared a beautiful place for those of us who live by faith in our Lord Jesus.

So now Lord we intercede for those who don't know you, in our government and all around us.

Lord, I pray we will have the appropriate perspective on what really matters.

We pray for the peace and safety of President Trump and for Israel.

We pray for wisdom concerning Ukraine and Taiwan.

Lord we pray for those here at Free Republic, that we could continue and not be hindered in our forum.

Spiritual Focus For The Church In Tough Times

Loving Lord, we are the Body of Christ and we are the Church of God and as You told us in Your Word, we are facing increasing difficulties in our lives today, and much animosity towards the things of God. But Father, we know that our help is in You, for You alone are the Rock upon which we stand, and You are the Hope of our salvation. Keep our hearts focussed on You, and our eyes fixed on our Savour, Jesus Christ.

Help us Lord, to remain strong in the faith with our hearts focussed on the truth of Your Word. Keep us strong in the Lord and in the power of His might and may we put on the whole armour of God as we face an increasingly hostile world. Lord, it is only as we remain in You and our hearts are centred upon the Lord Jesus, will we gain victory over the world, the flesh and the devil.

We praise You that Christ won the spiritual victory on the cross. Keep Your Church ever focussed on that truth, and help us never to forget that what we suffer in the world today is nothing compared with the glory soon to be revealed to us. In Jesus’ name,

Thank You for hearing our prayers this day and for every act of grace and mercy You show toward us. Thank You for Your servant norsky and her commitment to prayer. May You perfect everything that concerns her as she demonstrates her love and commitment for her family.

Father, we pray for the soul of our current president, knowing that You are not willing that any should perish but that he and his entire family would come to repentance if they have not already done so. We leave that judgment to You. Protect him from the evil one, Lord, and help him to end his term of office in dignity and honor at the appointed time.

We thank you for the American prisoners who have arrived home safely, and we humbly ask You to allow Marc Fogel to return home as well. Help him to endure and enable his family to keep their eyes on You as they deal with the disappointment of seeing their loved one left behind.

May Your Name be glorified both now and evermore, our Mighty King. We pray this in the Name of our Blessed Savior. Amen.
