ight now, China, Taiwan, North Korea, Japan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Sweden, among other nations, are all posturing for war or are at war. What’s going on?
Jesus said in the last days, there’s going to be a time of “wars and rumors of Wars” (Matthew 24:6). Now, there have always been wars and rumors of wars, but in the Olivet discourse in Matthew chapter 24, he’s talking about an escalation and frequency of these things. While all these other things are taking place, there’s going to be a coalescing of end-time events.
What should the believer do? I know the temptation, I have it just like you, to pull the sheets over our head, turn off the news, and simply not go outside. We can’t live like that. First of all, that would be fear, and we’re not allowed to live in “a spirit of fear” (2 Timothy 1:7).
Secondly, we have got to engage those that are around us with the Gospel, that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son” as a gift to die on the cross for our sins and to be resurrected from the dead for your justification. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends. Tell your family.
You and I are commanded by God to be Salt and Light until the end. That means we are to be involved in everything for the cause of Christ. No matter what it is. If you are in the law enforcement field, a chef at a restaurant, on the football field, or in the office at home, be there for Jesus.
These are the last days. All these things that we’re seeing right now should cause us to be motivated.
Please get this. Let these things be motivators, not something that causes you to sequester yourself. The world is falling apart; get up and give the Gospel.
You may say, “I’m scared; I don’t know what to do.” Repent and trust God. These are amazing days, friends, be ready. We may not even have an America for long, as we know it, but the kingdom of God is not shaken by any of these things.
“All these things that we’re seeing right now should cause us to be motivated.”
100%
The end is soon, but “not yet” (Matt 24:6).
War is a constant throughout human history, and has human nature really changed in all that time? No. It’s been almost eighty years since we have had a major conflict so we are certainly due. The Gospel has its place certainly, but ultimately man makes the situation here on earth. Free will. Perhaps we have become too rich, too free. But, as always and again with respect to history, it is the innocent who will suffer most terribly.
Definitely a good and needed word! The fields are white but the laborers are few.
When Biden and the Left run out of political tools to stop Trump (and us), we know what will come next. And they will run out of political tools because none of them work against Trump.
I think that's just one personality type. The "Passives."
There is another type--"Aggressives"--who are just itching for a fight to start because that's their nature and they are fed up.
End of the World....Episode 1,213 of the X-Files coming up next. LOL!
Thanks for the article.
https://www.patburt.com/ A true story . . . means more today than over 20 years ago.
As Lt. Col. Dave Grossman says: “There are three kinds of people in this world. There are sheep who are innocent and naive and think nothing bad will happen to them, there are wolves which prey on the innocent and naive sheep, and then there are sheep dogs which protect the flock from the wolves. I guess it really comes down to who we want to be. I prefer being a sheep dog.
God places people where they need to be.
There will be scoffers in those days. Where is the promise of his coming?
And pray like never before.
Our enemy is spiritual and MUST be fought on spiritual battlegrounds and the only thing that's going to defeat those spiritual forces of darkness is is prayer and the word of God.
Wars and rumors of wars indeed.
Even the newly elected president of Argentina is beating war drums, he’s calling for Argentina to take the Falkland Islands. We should say try again, as the iron lady Thatcher of Britain sent the Argies home with their tails between their legs the first time they tried it.
But it’s a swell time to be in the doomsaying business.
