Forgive Us for What We Could Have Been but Failed to Be

Worthy are You O Lord, worthy is the Lamb Who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing! Father, there is nothing in heaven nor on earth that can compare with the amazing glory and grace which You have poured out, in untold and abundant measure upon this race of fallen man, than that which our Saviour Jesus Christ did when You sent Him into the world, to become the propitiation for our sins, and by Whose death and resurrection has redeemed us from the pit of hell.

Once again Lord we come before You to beg for Your mercy and grace in this time of the end. We look at the death and destruction all around us, knowing it’s a result of our own sin.
Holy Father, we are wretched without You. Governments and nations fail without You. We cannot survive without You. Abba Father, we repent of our rebellion against you, and stand in the gap for our families, friends, nation and world. We realize our time in this world has grown so short, and Lord Jesus will come to sweep His chosen ones up and away to Him at any moment. Holy Spirit, keep our hearts filled like lamps of Your Light in this darkness of night.
Holy Lord, return to our public square. We never wanted You gone and rebuke those hate You. We ask that You will intercede on the behalf of Your children. Allow us to elect wholesome, moral leaders who love You and will turn our nation back to You.
Protect us from our enemies, Holy Father. We pray those against You come to their senses and repent. We cry out against those attempting to corrupt and destroy Your chosen people and the nation of Israel. We rebuke in the Name of Jesus the shedding of innocent blood, the cultural Marxism and neo-paganism metastizing around the world.
We cry out to You against the rising tide of apostasy and corruption in so-called churches that promote homosexuality, transgenderism, drag queen culture, DEI, witchcraft and false gospels.
We cry out to You against the destruction of the innocent through abortion, which is now the leading cause of death in the world for four years in a row. Please stop this Lord! Reverse the thinking that’s taken hold that we should allow abortion so we “win elections.” Help us to trust in You so we may take a righteous stand.
We cry out to You against the corruption of the innocent through child porn, trafficking, exploitation and sexual confusion. Reverse the idea that’s taken hold in our minds that homosexuality is normal and acceptable.
We cry out to You against the destruction of family and marriage, parents and children, which You created for us in this world. Stop the power-hungry who believe they know better than You in their attempts to usurp Your plan for parents and children. Reverse the lies in our minds that fathers aren’t needed, marriage isn’t necessary for a family and divorce is normal.
We cry out against the confusion caused by the spiritual ignorance and famine so widespread today. We need Your Word and Holy Spirit to guide us in moral clarity. We rebuke the squishy, lukewarm spirit, which You spit from Your mouth.
We pray for our enemies in government and positions of leadership in our communities, America and around the world. We pray that Your people will go to the polls, apply wisdom and elect candidates who honor You.
Abba Father, for those possible to be saved, may they open their eyes to be delivered now. Bless our enemies with consequences the they may see the futility of life in darkness without You. In addition, we pray for our loved ones who don’t know You yet, that they may be delivered soon as well.
Maranatha! Lord come soon! We need You!

For The Elected Government To Act Wisely
Loving Lord and judge of all the nations, we come before You in sadness of spirit, knowing that our once great nation has fallen into such a sad and sorry state of repair. Revive us we pray, and restore us, for we have no help, except in You alone.
Guide the governors, legislators, sheriffs and all those men and women that are in senior positions of power, both in local and national government. Give them grace and wisdom to guide our nation back from the path of destruction, and onto the path where God is the One in Whom we place our trust.
Lord, we know that when a nation turns their back on You, they have turned from the path of freedom. We pray that in Your grace and patient loving-kindness, You would bring us back to the place where You are honoured in this land so that we may once again be a nation of free people.
Forgive us for our foolishness and from deviating from the path of truth onto this winding path to destruction. Forgive us that You have not been placed in Your rightful position in the governance of our nations, and may we turn back to Yourself, both individually and nationally. In Jesus’ name,
