America's leading pediatricians have sparked controversy after suggesting that it is child abuse to deny gender-affirming care to minors.
The influential American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) said that ‘withholding [gender-affirming care] is harmful to children and amounts to state-sanctioned medical neglect and emotional abuse.’

The terms “trans child” or “trans children” should be outlawed, along with the practices. If someone is an adult and wants to mutilate or abuse their own body, there’s not much that can be done to stop that. But leave the children alone.

The AAP needs handcuffs, search warrants and arrests and jail time, lots of it. But that will not happen even with ‘republicans’ in power.

I never much cared for pediatricians anyway. As Family Medicine, anything they can do we can do better! And we treat the parents, too.
If someone is to affirm ones gender , it would mean explaining they were born a certain gender and that it what it is. Anything else is gender denial…. Which is a form of mental illness to be honest.
