Medical ‘organizations’ are in general not to be trusted, and should never be given any decision/policy making power. Ever. They are infested with zealots who, generally, are more invested in their agenda and their quasi-political careers than they are in medicine and patient care. The American Academy of Pediatrics are a danger to America's children. For years their physicians have been promoting vaccine "schedules" shooting infants and toddlers full of wonky and/or unnecessary vaccines which cause all sorts of developmental problems - one in thirty-four children nowadays with ADD at last count. It was around 1 in 10,000 with ADD fifty year ago before they started playing merry-go-round $$$ with scores of "childhood" vaccines. No doubt some of the powerful psychotropic drugs they prescribe children are part of that ghastly number.

On the other hand, they get big bucks from vaccine makers for keeping their helpless charges "on schedule". Of course, the vaccine makers have no liability under the law for adverse reactions or deaths. Cozy deal all around - except for the kids and their parents who often have to deal with lifetime injuries.
