On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, which resulted in multiple fatalities. The attack was carried out by a transgender leftist who had written a “manifesto” which has currently been withheld due to public records requests made by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department as well as the activism of Southern Baptist Convention ERLC head, Brent Leatherwood.
Brent Leatherwood, head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s public policy arm, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), is calling on TN lawmakers to back a proposal by Governor Bill Lee for an extreme risk protective order law, also known as red flag laws. The proposal would allow the state to temporarily restrict gun purchases if the state deems one to be a danger to themselves or others, yet the criteria that would be used to make the determination remains unclear.
Brent Leatherwood, who is also a parent of three children at Covenant School where the shooting by a deranged transgender assailant took place, shared his experience of receiving a call that a shooter was at the school. In a series of tweets on April 3, he recounted how the trauma and memories of the tragedy would be with his family for the rest of their lives.
“We’ve become numb to these tragedies as a society,” Leatherwood wrote on Twitter. “Defenseless, innocent lives being taken. We should never accept this as a reality. We need to commit ourselves to finding an answer to this epidemic and not rest until it is solved. Count me as a solution seeker on this.”
Unsurprisingly, Leatherwood has exploited this tragedy and used his platform as a Southern Baptist leader in order to advance stricter anti-Second Amendment gun control laws. In a letter addressed to Lt. Gov. Randy McNally, House Speaker Cameron Sexton, and all members of the legislature, Leatherwood presented an appeal from both his personal experience and on behalf of the majority Southern Baptist sentiment, according to The Tennessean. He urged lawmakers to ensure that no school in Tennessee ever has to endure the same nightmare as the Covenant School tragedy again.
Leatherwood told the lawmakers that Southern Baptists make up one-fifth of the population of Tennessee and have repeatedly called for ways to reduce gun violence, a seemingly veiled threat by the former leader of the TN Republican Party that he may use his power of leadership over Southern Baptists to sway the vote. “Other voices are saying there is too little time left in this legislative session to consider such a proposal. Little credence should be given to that,” he said in the letter, according to the Tennessean.
In a another report at the Epoch Times, it has been further revealed that Leatherwood has not only been advocating for stricter gun laws, but he’s also been working overtime to censor the manifesto written by the deranged transgender activist who killed innocent people on that day. While one would think that a conservative, Bible-believing Christian leader in his right mind could only think of a deranged, transvestite killer as an “unhinged activist,” instead, Leatherwood refers to those who are calling for transparency as such.
Brent and Meredith Leatherwood, parents of three children who were present that day, echo Kinney in saying their current anguish comes from “unhinged activists, unthinking partisans, conspiracy theorists, and various media outlets that value clicks over their community.”
The Leatherwoods said their family had also received “hints” of threats of legal action in order to intimidate them from trying to stop the release of the records. Leatherwood, through his position with the Southern Baptist Convention, has called on stricter gun laws following the shooting.
However, the manifesto which was leaked today by Steven Crowder tells a different story—one that would actually implicate much of the Southern Baptist Convention’s ERLC in advancing an ideology that would exacerbate such a depraved mindset to act out in violence against those who have been painted as “enemies” by the left.
The ERLC, primarily under the leadership of its former head, Russell Moore, and continued by Leatherwood, has repeatedly advanced the narrative of white privilege and systemic injustice. But in the leaked manifesto, we see that the reason this trans person carried out this attack is, unsurprisingly, identical to the reasons the ERLC has repeatedly laid out in favor of their social justice efforts—namely, white privilege.
Is this the real reason why Leatherwood didn’t want the manifesto released? Here are the leaked manifesto writings:

Not sure that her trans identity has anything to do with her motives in these three pages. She even calls her victims “faggots.”
The trans thing may be more of a symptom of having been brainwashed by leftism, not a cause of it. She doesn’t (at least not in these few pages) see herself as a victim but openly acknowledges at that time the people she intends to kill are victims of her actions, or rather, will be soon.
From what can be seen here her motives are very much like a shaheed, but without the Islam, or a Nazi, without the antisemitism. A messianic desire to do a “good work” for the demonic deity she believes in by ridding the world of those subhuman privileged whites she deems enemies of himanity- inferiors or defective people.
Yeah, I can definitely see how a lot of White people (especially women) have been indoctrinated to hate both their race and themselves. Some likely to the point of mass murder. However, these are also people who cannot think critically and observe the world around them.
She made a video tape opus in her plans.
This so-called manifesto confirms the mental instability of the young woman and raises the question of whether the drugs and hormones that are given to change gender, increase the risk of mental illness.
“That’s so stupid, it hurts.
The idiots really think that a law like that would stop a deranged, committed killer from getting a gun.
They think criminals obey these silly laws?”
It’s not stupid, it’s calculated.
They are not idiots and they do not think that.
They know that criminals will not obey those laws.
The danger in their narrative is that either you support and affirm ‘trans’ people or your committing ‘trans genocide’ (denying their existence, telling them it is ‘all in their head’). So it’s ok to engage in real violence, killing people, as a response to words.
This is certainly a dangerous narrative and is common among the ‘trans community’. They are a dangerous, unhinged, group. I remember years ago seeing Ben Shapiro get threatened by a ‘trans woman’ on a panel...”you’re going to go home in an ambulance”...by its very nature a man that requires you to call them a woman, then becomes enraged like a man when you don’t, is the very definition of unstable mental illness that is dangerous.
Fascinating screed, thanks for posting. I’m seeing a psychotic level of self-loathing here: a young woman who didn’t want to be one, a white kid who hated white kids, a recipient of “privilege” by going to that school herself, a transgender who hated “faggots” enough to use it as a pejorative; all of that toxic combination simmered in fifteen years of grudge holding during which the hatred burned out whatever humanity remained. A sadist who killed children because she hated herself, in short. Not sure how easily such an individual could be detected at all or if any sort of therapy could have brought her around.
The manifesto references a video.
Where is that?
I was just thinking this reads like boilerplate leftist beliefs. The difference between her and your average Harvard student is she was mentally off enough to sacrifice herself for the cause.
True, I forgot her first victim was black. She just wanted to kill kids so much that anyone standing in her way was probably in her mind, collateral damage.
Maybe this video, that will most likely never see the light of day, will explain why it was so important to her that the attack had to be made on that particular date.
She writes that she's been excited for two weeks waiting for 'the day' to finally arrive.
Clearly, she could have attacked on any school day. Why was that particular day so important to her?
A tinfoil hatted conspiracy theorists would say that was the day her handlers told her to attack.
Glad I'm not one of those...
Would a “Covenant” school have supported trans students?
The shooter, Nashville resident Audrey Hale, had no previous criminal record before opening fire at The Covenant School. How would red flag gun laws have picked up that she/he was a risk?
ping
She seems nice . . .
bkmk
Worse than that...they want us to CELEBRATE this kind of thing.
Celebrate it. Just think of that.
And even worse YET-they want to bring the power of the State against those who OPENLY disagree with this insanity.
In a normal, balanced, mentally healthy society, the mere fact that she was in some program to become a guy should have flagged her.
No drinking or dancing.
And now no guns.
There’s a young woman in our small Appalachian town who cut off her breasts and is taking pills to grow a mustache. She was angry all the time until she took the pills. Then she seemed to be incredibly happy. Testosterone gives you a high for a while. She seems to have built a tolerance to it now. That kid scares me. She’s so confused and unstable. I can’t help but think she’ll off herself in a few years if not sooner. It’s so sad to see it unfold in front of your eyes.
