1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Father,
We agree with Paul's prayer here for the church. The days are very rapidly becoming very dark and outright persecution appears to be looming on the horizon. Instead of decrying the slaughter of children and adults are a Christian school, Christians are virtually being blamed for the shooting. Persecution by the government and those in political authority does not seem far behind when actions by someone so demonstrably evil are excused away.
So we pray indeed for Your body, the true church. We also ask that we be filled with then knowledge of Your will in and for our lives that You would strengthen us with all the glorious might of Your power, and that we would have patience and endurance with joy.
It is difficult to be joyful in the midst of the situations we find ourselves in but we need to find our joy in YOU, and let it be the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
Also give us grateful hearts and remember what You have saved us from. We thank You that you delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son You love but whom we have been qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints of light.
Thank You for the forgiveness that You freely grant us, and that we are clothed unto redemption in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Let us go and minister toa lost and hurting world, showing the love of Christ to those around us in need that they too may come to trust in You and share with us this great salvation.

Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !
Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !
