I agree with Rev Christopher Benek (in the article) that technology isn't evil in and of itself. It becomes evil when it is used by evil people...or perhaps when it is used by evil beings which inhabit our world alongside humans (as you mentioned in your comment at source).
As humans progress in this discussion, I think we need to clearly define what we mean by "worship" and what we mean by "religion." Religion might be defined (as the Left does now) as something that adds the element of meaning to our lives the way so-called "virtue" does for secular humanists. To the secular humanists, there is religion but there is no god, per se.
And how do we define "worship"? Is it just absolute obedience and loyalty? Is it adoration? Is it "love"?
And people on the Left believe propaganda from anyone that agrees with their ideology. A talking frog would be believed if it said, "Orange Man Bad."
They are not idiots...they are evil personified.

Right now they are experimenting with wireless machine/brain interfaces. I do not know what sort of transmitters are involved, but if it's something that can be transmitted via 5G then AI could conceivably control the minds of people. There's your physical access to weaponry. Or...AI could simply direct neurologically controlled humans to simply walk off the top of buildings, piers, or into the paths of trucks, trains, harvesters....
Not out of a demonically possessed piece of technology.
I wouldn't say that. I've already used ChatGPT to solve tech problems in minutes that otherwise would have required days.
You seem to be under the impression that AI will exist in a building, somewhere that you can point to.
While FR might exist on a server that Jim Rob can point to, pretty much nothing else these days does.
Pull the plug on the Google Facility in California...whoops, nothing changed. But I thought that was Google! It is and it isn't.
Everything these days fails over to something else, somewhere else, running on a different power grid. Run an AI on highest priority in Google's cloud and it would be everywhere and no where at the same time. Destroy one facility, it's still going at another. You may think it's fiction, but that's how this works, today. An AI would simple break itself up into billions of pieces and distribute itself everywhere. The only way to end that is a fire sale EMP. Everything must go.

Also, to me, this is a clear sign of the end of the age. Although Scripture does not define it in such specific terms, it does allude to it describing in first century terms 21st century technology.
Mankind is on a course of self-destruction like never seen before or never possible before. This cannot continue without God intervening ton save us from ourselves.
We certainly need to pray for discernment to navigate these troubled times.

Silicon Valley, laying off tens of thousands of “white collar” workers should be a warning sign. Automation began replacing manual, blue collar labor in the 1960’s, and now AI is beginning to replace cerebral, white collar labor in the 2020’s. I wonder what comes next? ....and even if we will be able to recognize it when it does come.
