Elemental spirits have immense powers over matter (physical and nonphysical, ie energy), fire, water, air. So via power over matter they can indeed manipulate internal workings (of the physical matter) of AI technology the same as they can manipulate the matter of human brains (spiritual bondage), cause heart attacks, and move through walls, floors, and ceilings.
Spiritual discernment and prayer are needed.
