I urge, then, first of all,
that requests, prayers, intercession,
and thanksgiving be made
for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness.
~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Heavenly Father –
We thank You, Lord, for the miracle of our nation, founded on biblical principles by men and women who feared You and knew Your Word.
As the Creator, You are the Author of life and liberty.
And only through Jesus, we can pursue happiness to the fullest.
Yet, through sin and turning our back on You, we confess we have become more divided as the days of the Civil War.
We confess we have pursued other gods and have fallen away from the faith of our founders.
As so evident in the daily headlines, we’ve been weakened from within and are reaping the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21):
sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
Almost 160 years ago, our nation was in the middle of a great existential crisis, which hundreds of thousands would lose their lives with brother pitted against brother.
November 19, 1863, President Lincoln was asked to deliver a message at the dedication of Gettysburg Civil War Cemetery.
That short speech was a turning point of healing of the deep divisions in our nation and return to the principles of our founders.
And in our day, may we humble ourselves and call out to our Lord and Savior for healing and a return to Him, the Author of our freedom as well as righteousness.
May we never give up and keep the faith….
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Amen.
Thank You for all things, both great and small. In the Name
of Jesus. Amen.

Malachi 3:13 “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’
14 “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? 15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’ ” 16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. 17 “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.
Dear Father in Heaven, may we continue to speak humbly against the arrogant for You, may we continue to fear and honor only You, and when You decide to act, may You remember us as faithful, as those who wait on You. In Jesus Name I pray with thanksgiving for all the blessings you have given us and our Nation. Amen.

Psalm 13
To the leader. A Psalm of David.
1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me for ever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I bear pain* in my soul,
and have sorrow in my heart all day long?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God!
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,
4 and my enemy will say, ‘I have prevailed’;
my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.
5 But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.
Amen
Amen
