...at the time He said it to Peter, that is?

Reading the Scripture, we see that Jesus was talking to ALL the disciples.

Peteer is the impulsive one who keeps injecting himself into the conversation...

NIV Matthew 16:13-18
 13.  When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
 14.  They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
 15.  "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
 16.  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,  the Son of the living God."
 17.  Jesus replied, "
Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
 18.  And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades  will not overcome it.
 19.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be  bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Simon was already known as 'Peter'
BEFORE those verses came along...

"You are Simon, son of John; you will be called Cephas, meaning Rock" (John 1:42).

So; just WHO is the "YOU" refering to in verse 19?

Peter only, or the whole group?

 19.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be  bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Thank you, Brother.

I know most have memorized Galatians 2:16, but I believe verse 18 is just as powerful and worthy of memorization:

“Rather, I am a sinner if I rebuild the old system of law I already tore down.”

God bless you, Elsie.

" Are the Catholics into replacement theology? I can’t remember, it’s been so long since I left the Catholic Church. "

Basically no: Rome affirms,

"the traditional Christian belief that the covenant between God and the People of Israel, established through the mediation of Moses at Mount Sinai, has been replaced or superseded by the 'New Covenant' of Jesus Christ. This implies that the Mosaic covenant, with its ritual and dietary requirements, Sabbath observance, etc., is no longer valid for the Jewish people, since God’s revealed will is for Jews, as well as Gentiles, to enter into the New Covenant by baptism and faith in Jesus as the promised Messiah." (Brian W. Harrison, O.S., M.A., S.T.D.; https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/view.cfm?recnum=9168)

She also holds that the before the return of Christ, the Church must pass through a final trial, and that this second coming of Christ awaits the the recognition of Christ by all Israel of the Jews, and that this comes after the fulness of the Gentiles have entered in. (http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p1s2c2a7.htm) Yet I think some TradCaths have a problem with that. As they do with Nostra Aetate 4 and Lumen Gentium 16.

However, Rome denies the literal 1,000 year reign of Christ, (https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10307a.htm) and with it the two separate judgments for two separate peoples, which Scripture clearly teaches, and

Joh 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

I was thinking more along the lines of “All who call upon the Lord shall be Saved”...Rom_10:13

Woman riding the beast? Take your pick.

Liz Cheney, Nancy Pelosi, Karine Jeanne-Pierre, AOC, Pramila Jayapal, Rahida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, Lisa Murkowski, Katie Hobbs, or just about any other Democrat woman politician/liar.

From what I see, Elsie:

you
σοι (soi)
Personal / Possessive Pronoun - Dative 2nd Person Singular
Strong’s 4771: You. The person pronoun of the second person singular; thou.

" There is no one organization that is considered the one true church."

Well,. there is also the one true church (sect) within the one true church:

[Catholic Caucus] A Snapshot of the Church before Vatican II: How Today’s Crisis Cures the Pre-Conciliar Ills 10/12/2022, 6:34:44 PM · by ebb tide · 4 replies The Remnant Newspaper ^ | October 10, 2022 | Robert Morrison [Catholic Caucus] A Snapshot of the Church before Vatican II: How Today’s Crisis Cures the Pre-Conciliar IllsAlthough Francis has tried his best to make it clear, some faithful Catholics still do not accept the reality that certain parts of Vatican II itself are opposed to what the Church has always taught.

The only one true church is the mystical body of Christ which the Spirit baptizes one into (1 Co. 12:13) upon regeneration by heart-purifying faith, (Acts 10:43-47; 15:7-9) and to which Christ is married, (Ephesians 5:30-32) for it alone only and always consists only of true believers, while the organic fellowships which believers are normally part of end up being admixtures of wheat and chaff.

You’re a Protestant.

Protestant, as in Martin Luther protested the abuses of the Catholic Church? THAT kind of Protestant? Well, when you get to meet Jesus, you will find He's that kind of Protestant as well. I'm a Christian Sabbatarian, if you're wanting to put a label on me. The same as Jesus and the Disciples. You know, the Ten Commandments kind of thing. If that gives you a target to shoot at, you're all set.

What does it say about living a life of unrepentant sin?
Think 1 John.

If you sin you confess that sin and at least acknowledge you sin.

It’s not Salvation however. Yes, you should die to self but we all sin. I have noticed that it sometimes takes people a long time to figure out their sin. I have also noticed that over time, some people become numb to their sin or even justify it. Some even celebrate it. Being a Methodist, I have to check myself because we believe can give up our Salvation.

BTW, if you want a good Biblical exercise, read Romans 1:18-2:11 as one single section

Your understanding of what the Great Departure is could use some studying.

Just answer my question (see below). That's all the "studying" I'm interested in.

Being put into a pine box and buried is not in any way a rapture event.

Do you know what "sarcasm" is?

But you don’t want the truth

Actually, I'd just like an answer to my question. Why do you care what happens (on earth) after the "rapture"? You won't be here. Anyone who is here is "left behind" and deserves to be so. So what difference could it possibly make to you what the "final end-times one world religion" looks like?

Some people do take a long time to figure out and kill their sin.

Others never do.

The ones that think a man is a girl and homo marriage is “ok” with God, I would posit that they are dead in their sin and have not been reborn. Their attitude, their lifestyle, their worldview is of “this world”.
They have created a false idol of what ‘god’ really is and what His Word represents.

You may disagree. This is why reading the Bible and sewing it’s words into your heart (not you) is vital to the Christian walk.

I do believe in OSAS. You turn from sin. Turn towards The Lord.
Sometimes it takes a very long time. Yes.

How can a person die and still think sin is “ok” - but be saved. Where’s the repentance (Changing of their mind)?

Being a Methodist, I have to check myself because we believe can give up our Salvation.

One not need be a Methodist.

Anyone who has no horse in the race yet, who can read something and NOT look for hidden meanings that nullifies what is plainly written, would come to the same conclusion.

Can we leave the OSAS fight OUT of this thread for a while?

I can answer that from my point of view. This is my opinion only, so take it with however large a grain of salt you want :)

The more we publicize about what is going to happen and why, the more people will understand what has happened afterwards. There is still the possibility of being saved afterwards. This is (as I view it) an evangelistic opportunity to educate people so they will not be deceived by the Anti-Christ.
